Erroll Garner wrote "Misty" in 1954. Johnny Mathis recorded it in 1959, and it became his signature song.

Earlier in the episode, Sam is having trouble performing, so he tells Rebecca he will get the Johnny Mathis record. She tries to get him to stay, and he says, "If we're gonna make a baby, I'm gonna need my Johnny!" Then, in the end, they decide maybe it's not a good idea, but as Sam leaves, they hear their neighbor playing "Misty." They start to kiss, and Rebecca says, "Oh, baby." Sam yells, "Stop saying that!"
2. What song do Sam, Cliff, Norm, and Frasier sing briefly in the car in "Get Your Kicks on Route 666"?

Answer: The Wanderer

Ernie Maresca wrote "The Wanderer"; it was recorded in 1961 by Dion.

The guys are singing the song when the tape stops playing. Cliff tells them, "the 8-track is acting up again."

"Greensleeves" is hundreds of years old and is a traditional English folk song.

Frasier comes over and asks Carla if she wants to talk, and when she says no, he asks if she'd like him to show her the correct fingering for "Greensleeves."

Answer: Those Were the Days

"Those Were the Days" was the English version of the Russian Song (when translated) "By the Long Road." Gene Raskin wrote the English version.

Norm hurt his back when Frasier fell off the ladder and landed on him. Frasier feels guilty and has Norm stay with them so they can take care of him. However, when everyone shows up to see Norm, they don't leave and Lilith has had it. She tells Frasier to kick them out, but instead, he joins them in singing. And Norm, he felt better and had left.
5. What song plays loudly on the jukebox in the original airing of the Halloween episode, "Bar Wars V: The Final Judgement," that they can't turn off, that also plays when Sam picks up the phone?

Answer: Monster Mash

The "Monster Mash" was written in 1962 by Bobby "Boris" Pickett. Boris Karloff inspired the song.

Gary from Gary's Olde Town Tavern is the one who causes the song to keep playing at Cheers. It's a Halloween prank.

"The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" was written by Ewan MacColl and sung by Peggy Seeger, whom he later married, in 1957. In 1972, it became a big hit for Roberta Flack and even won a Grammy Award.

Lilith suspects Nanny G is looking at Frasier, but Frasier says, "she's looking in the general direction of our loving family." Then Nanette (Nanny G's name is Nanette Goosman) sings the third verse of the song, "The first time ever I lay with you." She and Lilith fight in the bar.

Harry Connick, Jr, who played Russell, wrote and sang this song on his "We Are in Love" album. Connick won a Grammy for Best Jazz Vocal Performance, Male, as a result of the album. Connick not only writes songs and sings, but he also plays piano exceptionally well.

The "Bridal Chorus" was written in 1850 by Richard Wagner for his opera "Lohengrin."

Lilith's mother, Betty (played by Marilyn Cooper), comes to visit. She is upset that she missed Frasier and Lilith's wedding and insists that they have a second wedding. Neither Frasier nor Lilith wants to do this, but they do anyway because Lilith can't stand up to her mother.

"South Pacific" was Richard Roger and Oscar Hammerstein II's fifth musical together. It opened on Broadway in 1949, and the film adaptation was released in 1958.

Rebecca says that Mark (played by Harvey Fierstein) played Emile De Becque in the show. He then says she was a great..." and Rebecca breaks out into "I'm Gonna Wash That Man Right Outta My Hair."

The title song of the musical "Singin' in the Rain" was written by Arthur Freed and Nacio Herb Brown. It was first sung by Doris Eaton Travis in "The Hollywood Music Box Revue" in the 1920s, but I could not find an exact year. However, the next time it was sung was by Cliff Edwards in "The Hollywood Revue of 1929."

Gary sells his bar, and the gang at Cheers decides to start a rivalry with the new owner. Unfortunately, the new owner, Frank "The Angel of Death" Carpaccio (played by Harry Guardino), is a mobster, and the police are afraid of him. However, Sam claims it is all a setup, so they go back and pull the fire alarm, set off the sprinkles, open up umbrellas and sing "Singin' in the Rain."
15. What song from "Singin' in the Rain" does Lilith sing to entertain the guests at Woody and Kelly's wedding?

Answer: Make 'Em Laugh

"Make 'Em Laugh" was written by Arthur Freed and Nacio Herb Brown. Donald O'Conner first performed it in the 1954 musical "Singin' in the Rain."

Lilith asks Sam why the wedding hasn't started, and he asks her to entertain the guest. She replies, "Oh my God, someone died, didn't they?" She then walks into the room where the actual wedding is held, singing, "Make 'Em Laugh."
