"Back In Black" was the Australian hard rock group's seventh studio album. It came after their wildly popular album "Highway To Hell" was released in 1979. "Back In Black" began with producer Robert John "Mutt" Lang and Bon Scott as the band's lead singer. But in February of 1980, Bon died from alcohol poisoning. Bon was found dead in a car after a wild night of drinking. AC/DC had to pivot. Some band members wanted to end the group, but ultimately they chose Brian Johnson of the band Georgie to become the new lead singer.
The album cover is all black with the letters of AC/DC outlined in grey. The cover was black in mourning for their lost lead singer. There were four singles released from the album. They kicked off with the song "You Shook Me All Night Long". "Rolling Stone" named the song #287 on their list of the "Top 500 Songs Of All-Time". The second single was "Hells Bells". The song has become a favorite among fans, where the band brings out a giant bell on stage. Haunting church bells and an epic guitar riff opens "Hells Bells". The third single on "Back In Black" was "Rock And Roll Ain't Noise Pollution", the least popular of the singles based on airplay. Then they released the title track. The opening guitar is epic and for many the song is the definitive AC/DC track.
While "Shoot To Thrill" was not released as a single, it got heavy radio airplay and was featured on the "Iron Man 2" soundtrack years later. "Let Me Put My Love Into You" is the album's ballad but it still packs a punch as a hard rock song. The other tracks on the album were all fun party anthems. "Have A Drink On Me", "Givin' The Dog A Bone", and "Shake A Leg" are all about drinking, sex, and dancing. "What Do You Do for Money Honey" is a tongue in cheek track about how a woman is able to live a lavish lifestyle.
Each of the other tracks that were options on the quiz did not appear on "Back In Black". But to make your choices easier, each of them is a title track from an AC/DC album. "High Voltage" and "T.N.T." both came out in 1975. "High Voltage" and "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap" were each released in 1976. "Let There Be Rock" came out in 1977. "Fly On The Wall" and "Black Ice" came out in 1985 and 2008.
