In the mid-1990s, Rancid was one of the most popular punk bands of the time. The California based band included Tim Armstrong and Matt Freeman, formerly with the band Operation Ivy. Rancid was on the Warped Tour in 1998, 2001, 2003, and 2004.
2. Sugar Smack

Sugar Smack is a made up band name. But there was a Super Smacks cereal back in the day! Not sure how appetizing it was but the Kellogg's cereal had a frog as their cereal's mascot.

Body Count is a thrash metal band featuring rapper Ice-T on lead vocals. Their song "Cop Killer" got the band in hot water with Warner Brothers and were repeatedly protested against. Body Count was part of the Vans Warped Tour reunion in 2025 and they performed a tribute to Ozzy Osbourne on the tour.

In 2012 and 2014, the geek rock band, I Fight Dragons, appeared on the Vans Warped tour stage. The band wrote the theme song for the television show, "The Goldbergs" and their music was used by the WWE. Save Ferris got their band name from a quote in the film "Ferris Bueller's Day Off". The ska punk rock band is based out of Orange County, California. Lead singer Monique Powell is the only original member of the band but she's the heart, soul, and vocals for the group.
Their cover of "Come On Eileen" is a modern punk rock classic. They were on the Warped Tour in 1998 and made their fourth appearance at the comeback tour in 2024.
