Prince didn't release a song with a color in the title until 1982, but what a great song to kick off the colorful theme. On the album "1999", Prince gave the epic single "Little Corvette" which became an MTV favorite. In 1984, Prince released his first major motion picture. The title track " Rain" won an Academy Award for Best Original Song Score. The fourth track on the soundtrack "Computer " also featured an incredible guitar solo. In 1985, "Around The World In A Day" again included two bright and shiny color songs. Track Two on the album took us to " Park" for which he later named his studio in Minneapolis. Then came the massive pop hit " Beret".

In 1989, Prince created a soundtrack inspired by the "Batman" Hollywood blockbuster. Track seven on the album was titled " Crush" and inspired by Vicki Vale's character in the film. Two years later, Prince's album "Diamonds And Pearls" featured the big singles, "Gett Off" and " ". 1992 brought us the release of the "Love Symbol Album" which contained two colorful songs, "3 Chains O' " and "Blue Light".

In 1993, the first major Prince compilation album, "The Hits/The B-Sides", was loaded with songs featuring colors in the title including many of the previously mentioned songs. The first two singles from the greatest hits collection were the previously unreleased "Peach" and the ballad, " Cashmere". Let's jump to 2006 and Prince's album "3121", the funky track " Sweat" was the third single on the album. Many great color themed songs were left off this quiz but it's clear Prince dug deep into his crayon box for inspirational song titles.

"Little Red Corvette" was Prince's first Top Ten hit on the Billboard Hot 100 Pop Singles chart. It was later released as a double single with "1999". The "Purple Rain" soundtrack spent 24 weeks on top of the Billboard 200 Album Charts. "Computer Blue" opened with a sexy dialogue between Prince and two members of The Revolution, Prince's backing band.

"Raspberry Beret" and "Paisley Park" were the first two singles on the 1985 release. "Raspberry Beret" with its psychedelic music video became a heavy rotation play on MTV.
