Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
Answer:

Joseph Smith - History 1:17 highlights one of the most important events of the Restoration of the Church. The First Vision demonstrated that God continues to reveal truth to His children and showed that, according to the LDS Church and as opposed to Christian doctrine of the Trinity, Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ are living, separate beings who communicate with and guide humanity today.

The theme of revelation and seeking truth is emphasized in both D&C 1:37 and 8:2, in which the Lord encourages his believers to follow commandments because His words and promises are reliable and will be fulfilled, and teaches that revelation comes through the Holy Ghost. These passages show that God reveals truth through prophets, scriptures, and personal revelation, helping all individuals come unto Christ.

The Word of Wisdom in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the Lord's law of health that teaches healthy living by avoiding harmful substances and consuming wholesome foods, which promises physical and spiritual blessings. This is the central idea expressed in D&C 89:18-21, the longest single excerpt from the Doctrinal Mastery passages of the Doctrine and Covenants.

D&C 88:118's advisement to diligently pursue learning reflects the LDS Church's strong emphasis on education and lifelong learning. By combining study and faith, members can grow intellectually, spiritually, and personally, preparing themselves to better serve others.
