New Zealand has appeared at the World Cup twice. In 1982, they lost all three of their group stage matches, which were against Brazil, the USSR and Scotland. In 2010, they drew all three of their group stage matches (against Slovakia, Italy and Paraguay).
Egypt has participated three times: In 1934, they lost to Hungary in the round of 16. In 1990, they drew with the Netherlands and Ireland and lost to England. In 2018, they lost all their matches against Uruguay, Russia and Saudi Arabia.
Iraq has taken part once. In 1986, they lost all three group matches against Paraguay, Belgium and Mexico.
Qatar hosted the 2022 World Cup, becoming the first host country to lose all three of their group stage matches (against Ecuador, Senegal and the Netherlands).
Canada have appeared twice, losing all their matches in both 1986 (against France, Hungary and the USSR) and 2022 (against Belgium, Croatia and Morocco).
Panama made their first World Cup appearance in 2018. They lost all three group games against Belgium, England and Tunisia.
Haiti are returning to the World Cup after a 52-year absence. In 1974, they lost to Italy, Poland and Argentina.
Likewise, the Democratic Republic of the Congo are returning after 52 years. As Zaire, they were defeated by Scotland, Yugoslavia and Brazil in 1974.
Cape Verde, Curaçao, Jordan and Uzbekistan are also yet to secure their first victory, having not played a single match before. All four nations will be making their World Cup debut in 2026.
The other teams had at least one victory: Bosnia and Herzegovina beat Iran in 2014.
South Africa defeated Slovenia in 2022 and France in 2010.
Iran banked three victories: 1998 vs. USA, 2018 vs. Morocco and 2022 vs. Wales.
Saudi Arabia secured even four victories: two in 1994 (vs. Morocco and Belgium), one in 2018 (vs. Egypt) and one in 2022 (vs. Argentina)
Ecuador and Senegal each achieved five victories before the 2026 edition.
