Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Who appears to be sick on the boat to Fire Island?

Answer: Theo

As the Traveler ferry carries its passengers over the water to Fire Island, Theo throws up over the side of the boat. Adam reassures him that he's not the first person to be seasick on a boat, but Theo complains he's been ill every morning as of recently. Weirdly, Adam notes that Hannah's been afflicted with the same bug; she's been sick the past few days per the message she left him. The disease that's been going around might be of concern, but there's not too much to know about it. It's just Theo's luck-- he always seems to be getting sick, coming down with STDs. Adam's not worried; they're monogamous from here on out.

As the boat docks, everyone disembarks. Sam, waiting on the pier, spots Theo and Adam arriving. Gino and Patrick get off the boat as well with Fran and her friends close behind. A Fire Island getaway awaits.
2. Gino is worried about the marks that are appearing on his body. Does Patrick also have these marks?

Answer: Yes

Gino brings Patrick a mai tai as they sit on the beach, joking about the drink considering the recent events. As they relax under a beach umbrella, Gino raises a toast to their enjoyment of the moment. Though the two start to get intimate, Gino's hesitation starts to break through; something about everything that's gone on makes the moment slip away.

Most concerningly, Gino realizes that more blemishes are appearing on his body. Though doctors explain it's normal for older Italian men to get these marks and that they're benign, it doesn't explain that they've also been appearing on Patrick (who has two at this point). Doctors keep giving antibiotics, but they don't seem to go away. All of it makes him quite uneasy; there's something inside him growing stronger. He's still scared; it means something awful is still out there and it's not going away.
3. While at Fire Island, Patrick has visions of which person?

Answer: Barbara

Adam remarks that Theo doesn't look all too well as they prepare to go out for the day, but Theo acknowledges that all it'll take is a few drinks. As Patrick returns to the cabin, Adam invites him to the Blue Whale as well, but it's clear that not everything is okay. Patrick starts asking about the way Gino is at work, but Adam doesn't say anything unbecoming of his boss.

The boys head out while Patrick stays in, instead taking a shower. Believing he hears Gino outside he dresses and walks to the back patio to find Barbara standing by the railing's edge. As she teleports behind him and descends upon him, she bears the face of a decrepit monster. He awakens from the nightmare by the pool, the situation inexplicable.
4. Henry comes to Fire Island to tell Gino which of these?

Answer: That he's in love with him

As Gino walks the beach he arrives at a boardwalk and follows a group of men into the woods, turning around when he reaches a threshold. He doesn't notice the figure watching him from the bushes.

Instead, Gino returns to the water's edge and is approached by Henry who, after feeling abandoned, expresses his feelings of admiration for him. Everything Gino wrote for 'The Native' is something he enjoyed; he found him different from the moment they met, but in a good way. The truth is that he's been keeping up with Gino's life as of recently, including the fights he's been having with Patrick, and it gives him a bit of hope. He's told off his bosses, who would be out to get him, because he wants to be with him. Henry falls to his knees to profess his love, but Gino won't hear it. He tells him not to say it so he won't regret it.
5. Sam refers to Gino Barelli as which of these?

Answer: The town crier

Theo struggles to hold himself together as his illness comes and goes in waves. When Sam arrives at the bar, Theo suggests they head back to the cabin for the night and Adam agrees; they can have a night in and relax with one another. All Theo needs is some time to lie down.

Sam spies Henry outside at the bar and the pair have a small toast. The obvious ends up being the topic of their subsequent conversation. Sam insists they're at a gay man's Shangri-La, but Henry is only there, as Sam says, to make a play for the town crier.
6. Sam alleges to offer Theo a truce, giving him which of these as a peace offering?

Answer: A shot

Henry doesn't hide his disappointments. As an incomplete man due to his circumstances, he worries that if he can't convince Gino that he's the right man, then no one will ever be with him. Sam tells him not to worry. Considering where they are, there's more than likely someone else, incomplete (though maybe not physically), who's looking for someone exactly like him. Sam says that he'll ask around. Henry just needs to meet him at the Meat Rack at 9 o'clock.

Sam also finds Theo looking out at the water and brings him a shot, looking for a truce. Though Theo isn't initially interested, he gives in to Sam's suggestion that they move forward on new paths with grace, hopefully getting what they deserve instead of each other. Despite feeling awful, Theo drinks and says his goodbye.
7. Fran and her friends admit that they came to Fire Island to learn more about which of these?

Answer: Ticks

Fran and the girls enjoy fondue for dinner and chat about Fran's recent, lucrative tarot job. All discussions, however, lead right back to the reason they came back to the island-- the ticks. According to the man working at the docks, there've been fifty cases of the recent illness originally brought on by Fire Island's ticks, and any info they find can help support Dr. Wells' research, even if she's been flaking on her recent calls with Fran.

The girls hear something moving outside and check out the window to find Big Daddy watching their cabin. Fran recognizes him as the peeping tom who was looking through her bedroom window in the city. When they brandish a knife at him and insist that he leave, to their relief, he turns around and walks away.
8. Gino is attacked by Big Daddy in his beach house. Who manages to shoot Big Daddy in the head?

Answer: Patrick

As the sun sets on Fire Island, Gino returns to the beach house and heads inside, putting on a record and making himself a drink. While he has his back turned, something knocks the needle off the record, and when he fixes it he's ambushed from the side by Big Daddy. Taking the knife from the bar, Gino fights back and stabs at the massive man, barely phasing him. Adam arrives to help remove the man from him, recognizing him as the man who killed Sully, and the two find themselves unable to take him down. They are saved, fortunately, when Patrick arrives, shooting him in the back of the head in the hallway.

As the three calm their nerves, Patrick makes a move to call the sheriff. Adam, however, wants to wait until he sees the face of the man who's caused them so much grief. When they return to the hall, however, there's no sign of the body.
9. At Sam's party, Fran performs tarot readings, frequently seeing which of these cards drawn with frightening regularity?

Answer: Death

Sam's party rages on into the night and Fran, who stops by to provide her tarot services, makes her way through the crowd of party-goers to take a seat inside. She makes herself comfortable, nervously taking her first clients. What she starts to notice, however, is that they're drawing the Death card.

Out in the brush by the beach, Sam locates Henry and brings him deeper into the Meat Rack. Henry is hesitant; he wants to be a better man than what's brought before him. But when Sam brings him around the corner, he finds Theo, nearly naked and tied to a tree, drugged by the shot that Sam gave him earlier. Theo awakens briefly while Sam lies about the circumstances, implying that Sam is looking for someone like Henry.

Back at the beach house, Fran draws the Death card again.
10. Theo is removed from his bindings in the woods by young men bearing which distinct accessories?

Answer: Antlers

As Henry approaches Theo and takes advantage of that which Sam has prepared for him, he nearly hesitates. He barely notices as Theo looks past him, seeing Big Daddy standing in the clearing beyond, but when he turns around and sees the figure he grabs his clothes and makes a run for it. Theo, tied up and helpless, can do nothing but watch.

As a fog rolls in and Theo looks into the trees around him, he sees as young men bearing antlers emerge from the trees and recognizes them as people he's photographed over the years. As the close in they assure him that he will be remembered. They remove his bindings and carefully take him from the woods and into the light.
