"The Traitors Canada" - Season 3 Quiz

Answer: Two

Starting this season with twenty-two contestants, Karine welcomed everyone to the manor at night, inviting them to the cemetery to inform them of the twists she had planned this time around. Firstly, she said that every Traitor voted out at the Round Table would result in $10,000 added to the prize pot. Secondly, two players would return to the graveyard that night against their will.

At the Round Table, Karine touched the shoulders of twenty of the contestants, faking out that they would be Traitors, but instead informed them that whoever was NOT touched would be a Traitor, and everyone with a tap was a Faithful. This meant that she had only selected Kevin and Coco, really.

That evening, Kevin and Coco were tasked with wearing pendants to locate one another, then pick one person, each, to bring to the graveyard where, unbeknownst to them, one would be recruited as a Traitor and the other would be the first Murder. Venus (Coco's choice) was given a cloak; Ty (Kevin's choice) was sent home.

Answer: Married

From the jump, married couple Meredith and Cagla kept their eleven-year-long partnership as far from the discussion as possible, lying out the gate to their fellow contestants (to the extent that none of them found out the truth until after they were eliminated). What followed was a tense game for both as they attempted to navigate each others' safety without letting on to their competitors that they were in it as a duo.

The game was further complicated when, at a very late stage, one of them became a Traitor. Neither made it to the final bonfire and the End Game.

Answer: Shortlisting

First time in the Traitors' Conclave, Karine informed the trio that there would be no Murder that evening. Instead, she requested a shortlist of four names who would be up for contention, and the next Mission would determine which of the four would go home. Ultimately, they chose Jericho, Mackenzie, Natalie, and Thompson, none of whome showed for breakfast the next morning.

After speculation, the other contestants came to discover that the missing four were buried sixteen foot down in concrete graves, and their Mission would involve freeing them with wooden rungs, but there would only be enough for three of the four Faithfuls. Jericho, Natalie, and Thompson were saved, winning Shields, and Mackenzie was left as the next victim.

Answer: Murder

With five players receiving Shields at the preceding Mission, and with Kevin having just been Banished in a chaotic Round Table, Coco and Venus were tasked with following the Faithfuls to the cemetery and selecting one amongst them to plead their case, and all of this had to be done with the other players blindfolded and the two of them communicating non-verbally.

They ultimately boiled their choice down to Thompson who, despite begging for his life, was not spared, becoming the fifth Murder victim.

Answer: Ria

A short time after Kevin's Banishment, Coco and Venus opt to recruit Ria, knowing that the heat is on her, and when she unexpectedly accepts their invitation, they set her up with a plan, then follow through with the opposite intention the next day, effectively framing her. Already under suspicion for her past throwaway votes, Ria is subsequently called out for a newfound level of confidence and, after a chaotic Round Table, she's Banished as a Traitor less than twenty-four hours after being recruited.

The contestants would get $10,000 added to the pot and the satisfaction of catching someone out.

Answer: A cursed Shield

After Jericho's Banishment at the Round Table, the contestants were surprised by the news that all Shields they'd collected during that day's Mission needed to be traded off to another player in order to function for the evening, leading to a mad scramble between all of them in the last hours of the day.

At the same time, Coco and Venus were tasked with Murder in Plain Sight for which they had to locate a hidden 'Cursed' Shield and give it to another player by the time the night ended. Coco, who initially refused to perform the task, ended up using it on Natalie to send her home that evening.

Answer: Three

The later Round Tables of the game were quite contentious, and it started with the seventh Banishment when the contestants split the vote down the middle between Meredith and Venus. They ultimately chose to Banish Venus, proven to be a Traitor.

In the subsequent Round Tables, the Faithfuls weren't so lucky. The next one featured a split between Sarah Nicole and Lisette (for which the former was eliminated) and the one after split between Meredith and Dom (for which Meredith was Banished). Fortunately, in each of these cases, they were able to split the tie on all of these revotes to avoid the chaos of random draw for elimination.

Answer: Cagla

After Venus' Banishment at the game's seventh Round Table, Coco was left as the sole remaining Traitor in the game and, as such, she was tasked with Blackmailing a Faithful to join her in the Conclave. In a unique instance, Coco opted to send a letter to Dom, but because he was protected by a Shield, he had the opportunity to refuse the offer and avoid Murder (which he did).

Instead, Coco successfully Blackmailed Cagla, who accepted the offer to avoid being Murdered, and who would continue with her to the finale.

Answer: The ability to vote twice

The penultimate Mission of the competition had the players stabbing voodoo dolls of each other in an effort to win money, but there was a secondary objective that was ultimately won by Hollywood, specifically that he could select an advantage and hand off another. Karine rewarded him with a Dagger that he could use to place a double vote or, if he chose, he could take a Shield.

After interrogating a trio of players, he elected to give his Dagger to Cagla for use at the next Round Table and he kept the Shield-- the last of the game.

Answer: Two Faithfuls

On the final day of the competition, after Jamal's Murder, the contestants had one last Mission and a series of Round Tables that eliminated married couple Meredith and Cagla and led to the Bonfire of Truth. Here, the final four placed their votes to Banish twice more, ending with Coco's demise as the last Traitor and Lisette's elimination from the top three.

It left Faithful duo Hollywood and Dom to share the grand prize of $93,100 (CAD) together, the first such instance of a Faithful win in "The Traitors Canada".
