Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. This game overhauled numerous long-standing mechanics. One such way is with how this game handled Perk-a-Cola machines. Which of the following is true?

Answer: Players decide which perks spawn and where

From the main menu, players can choose any perk they have unlocked, and place it into a 'slot'. Slots 1-3 merely determine the location of a perk, while the fourth and final slot also had a 'modifier' attached to it. Perks placed in the fourth slot can receive an added bonus dependent on the perk from the Modifier, and the Modifier is active when all four perks have been purchased in-game.
2. Another massive mechanical change coming over from "Black Ops 3" is how this game handles Specialist equipment. In "Black Ops 3", players had to go through typically lengthy quests to earn Specialist equipment. In this game, how does one earn a Specialist?

Answer: By existing; it is freely given to them

Like with perks, players may use the main menu to determine which Specialist they'd like to start the game with. There are eight unique Specialists, four available on Aether maps and four on Chaos maps.
3. Gobblegums were a beloved new addition to "Black Ops 3", and they yield way for Elixirs in this game. What is the main difference between Gobblegums and Elixirs?

Answer: Players start the game with Elixirs

Like with perks and Specialists, players will use the main menu to determine which Elixirs they'd like to begin the game with. Gobblegums had to be dispensed in-game through a machine, but players can immediately use Elixirs the moment a game starts, with some cooldown restrictions depending on the Elixir used.

For those on Playstation, Gobblegums could be cheesed by closing app instead of manually ending the game; this would allow limited quantity Gobblegums to not be expent, and remain in the user's stock. In this game, this simply, sadly, does not work and limited quantity Elixirs will be consumed regardless of how the player exits the game. While unfortunate, this is a pretty sensible balancing decision.
4. In "Black Ops 3", there was only the Aether storyline to follow, and that was it. That is not the case in this game, as there is a second storyline alongside Aether for players to follow. What is it called?

Answer: Chaos

The Chaos storyline, at the time of creation, was intended to be entirely independent from Aether in every way. It features its own cast of characters, perk slot names and even its own unique mini-boss enemies, while only sharing some aesthetic things and the presence of zombies with the Aether story.

Later, in "Black Ops 6", a connection between Chaos and Aether was made to the chagrin of older fans everywhere.
5. Whereas Aether storyline has featured the Primis and Ultimis crews, the new storyline to this game has the Chaos Crew. The most important member, daughter of Alistair Rhodes, has assembled the rest of the crew to try and wrest her kidnapped father back from The Order's clutches. What is her name?

Answer: Scarlett

Alistair must have foreseen trouble with The Order, as he had time to write a note to Scarlett instructing her to only trust the other three members of the Chaos Crew in attempting to fight The Order.

For her part, Scarlett is a somewhat cocky, hard-nosed and ambitious person. It is likely, through her dialogue with Diego Necali and Bruno Delacroix, that she does not particularly like them and only works with them out of necessity. Stanton Shaw, on the other hand, likely harbored a close relationship with Scarlett before the zombie outbreak, as she seems to appreciate his presence a lot more. Dialogue from Shaw to Scarlett on the IX map in particular makes this connection.
6. Known as 'the Chemist' in game, this member of the Chaos Crew is quite experienced with all manner of substances, for better or worse. What is his name?

Answer: Stanton Shaw

Shaw has, by far, the most hilarious dialogue of the entire Chaos Crew, with his funniest liners coming on the IX map in particular. He seems relatively indifferent towards Diego and Bruno, but he appears to have had some kind of strong relationship with Scarlett before the events of this game.
7. Noted as having been a key contributor during the Mexican Revolution, this former spy turned zombie killer is part of the Chaos Crew. What is his name?

Answer: Diego

Of the four, Diego is by far the cockiest, most brash and sly, reflected by his dialogue throughout the story. Diego is also clearly romantically attracted to Scarlett, which dialogue towards her particularly showcases on the Voyage of Despair map. Towards the other two, Diego often engages in casual banter with Bruno that is not usually reciprocated, while he is often at least slightly offput by how quirky and eccentric Shaw is. That said, Diego seems to be on at least neutral terms with the crew throughout the story.
8. A former enforcer for a criminal gang in France, this big brute rounds off the Chaos Crew. What is his name?

Answer: Bruno Delacroix

Bruno's violent past is touched on very frequently in his dialogue, and his general demeanor and mannerisms also play the part. Bruno has probably the most varied direction with his relationships with other Chaos Crew members. He is quite protective and even, at times, sympathetic towards Scarlett as he is clearly devoted to helping her find her father, a man Bruno became close to before his kidnapping. Bruno does not appear necessarily bothered by the other two, but he clearly views Diego condescendingly and, similarly to Diego, can be slightly offput by how quirky Shaw is.

He does not seem to actually mind or dislike them, however.
9. Overall, this game certainly nailed it on map variety, as the player can end up in an extremely colorful amount of settings within just the eight maps on this game. Where is one place players can end up?

Answer: The RMS Titanic

In all, players will venture to the Titanic in Voyage of Despair, Alcatraz Island for Blood of the Dead, the Pentagon for Classified, an ancient Greek coliseum in IX, an old rich man's manor in Dead of the Night and, finally, a Greek god utopia in ancient Delphi for Ancient Evil, along with more.

Say what you will about the quality of any of these experiences, as that is indeed a controversial debate topic. But what isn't debatable is that Treyarch went pretty hard, arranging for some interesting setting ideas that really felt as if they left no stone unturned.

In an era where zombies maps have essentially all been seemingly based at yet another bland, generic government facility (looking at you, "Cold War" and most of "Black Ops 6"), looking back on this game really highlights how far from grace Treyarch would eventually fall in terms of general creativity.
10. In past Zombies experiences, Perk-a-Colas were available. These drinks gave the buyer a perk. In this game, the Chaos Crew does not have drinks, but a different aesthetic consumable to gain perks from. What is used to give perks here?

Answer: Vapors

When a Chaos Crew member buys a perk, they will hold up a huge incense with the iconography of whatever perk they just bought on it. The character will inhale the vapor momentarily before discarding it.

The Aether story in this game does give the player classic, tried and true Perk-a-Cola machines just like games previous. So the change only occurs on Chaos story maps.

There is no tangible difference between vapors and Perk-a-Colas, only aesthetic. Likewise, in "Infinite Warfare", perks in that game are indeed candy, similarly a simple aesthetic change from classic Perk-a-Colas.
