Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. This game boasts what you may colloquially hear referred to as a "storm" or "circle" mechanic. The player will eventually be warned of the coming of the "night's tide". What will happen to the player if they step into the night's tide?

Answer: They will take a lot of damage and eventually die

Initially upon stepping into the storm, the player will lose 1/8th of their health every second. If they remain in the storm continuously, this will become 1/4th of their health after 60 seconds, 1/2th their health bar after 75 seconds, and if they manage to stay out for a 90th second, they will instantly be killed right from full health.
2. The Guardian, like every character, gains an attack bonus if the player equips him with his "preferred weapon". What is The Guardian's preferred weapon?

Answer: Halberd

If given a halberd of any kind, it will gain a unique moveset and a 10% power boost. Sadly, the unique moveset really is quite terrible, but at least there's an attack bonus.
3. Owing to his desire to trade blows, The Raider's preferred weapon is which of these options?

Answer: Colossal Weapons

This is a bit tricky because the game is a little quirky on what is and isn't a "Colossal Weapon". Additionally, it is worth noting that the Raider's Greataxe is, in fact, considered a Colossal Weapon and not a Greataxe as the name would imply.
4. The Ironeye prefers to fight foes at a distance. What is his preferred weapon?

Answer: Bows

Ironeye uniquely can use light or long bows much faster than the rest of the cast, making him an optimal user of these weapons. Sadly, this does not extend to Greatbows, despite Ironeye also gaining an attack bonus using them.
5. The main magic caster of the group, what is The Recluse's preferred weapon?

Answer: Nothing

Recluse does not actually start the game with a melee weapon, the only character for which that is the case. Given this combined with Recluse's variety of ranged talents and skills, it is clear she is not meant to be a frontline character, and should be given a tanky teammate such as The Guardian or The Raider to compensate.
6. An agile combatant, what is The Duchess' preferred weapon?

Answer: Daggers

The Duchess' starting dagger uniquely comes with its own exclusive Ash of War, one that was never even seen in all of "Elden Ring", Magic Dagger. The skill is simple and unexciting, as it simply involves The Duchess swinging the dagger and buffing it with magic. But it's still effective and, again, exclusive to The Duchess.
7. The character of choice for players who like to mesh speed with power, what is The Wylder's preferred weapon?

Answer: Greatswords

The Wylder does have one exclusive Relic Rite that enables him to follow up his grapple skill with a flaming attack, but only if he's wielding a greatsword. Perhaps moreso than anyone other than Ironeye, The Wydler's affinity for greatswords should be satisfied.
8. The Executor is arguably the hardest character in the game to learn, with a carryover mechanic from "Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice." What is his preferred weapon?

Answer: Katanas

Regardless of the equipment The Executor is using, his skill involves him pulling out a katana known as the Cursed Blade, whereupon he can parry enemies just like Wolf can in "Sekiro". This game takes that parry mechanic to the next level, however, as the quantity of things The Executor can parry in this way is pretty absurd.

He can parry an absurdly wide variety of powerful attacks you would never think parryable, such as literally all of Heolstor the Nightlord's attacks (even his reality tearing nuke attack!), dragon breath, overhead slamming attacks from a giant, and much, much, so much more.
9. The Revenant is the last character the player will unlock, and the only one that actually does take noticeable effort to do so. What is The Revenant's preferred weapon?

Answer: Nothing

Like The Recluse, The Revenant is extremely fragile and should never initiate a conflict with an enemy more threatening than a mindless Godrick soldier. The Revenant will mainly aim to use her summons to assist in combat, as well as support others.
10. Periodically, Nightlord bosses will gain "Everdark Sovereign" forms. When fighting these forms, what is one difference between them and their 'regular' forms?

Answer: There is a third phase to the fight

When fighting an Everdark Sovereign form of a Nightlord boss, the fight will immediately begin with said boss being in their second phase, skipping the typically much easier first entirely. When reaching around half health, these enhanced bosses will then enter a unique third phase which is not encountered when fighting their 'regular' version.

This third phase consistently really turns up the heat, whether its the Sentient Pest fight producing a third threat to join the tandem of Faurtus and Gnoster, the Darkdrift Knight fight where Fulghor gains some terrifying new powers, or the Gaping Jaw fight where Adel begins to literally bounce off the walls to create havoc, it is an exhilarating but also quite challenging experience.
