Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Lt Belica (henceforth referred to as just "Belica") boasts a varied kit highly adaptable to fit most situations. This makes her a standout choice for Support, but what other role is Belica recommended for by Omeda Studios?

Answer: Midlane

Belica's kit may not seem particularly great for the role at first, but her kit can burst enemies down incredibly quickly with skilled play. Dealing predominantly magic damage and doing so at a range, Belica is a perfect fit for the midlane.

Boasting tons of utility and status, Belica is a solid choice for the Support role as well.
2. Where some characters' stat builds may take a closer look to truly analyze, Belica's is as simple as they get: her highest stat is in Ability Power, getting a score of what?

Answer: Ten

When used in calculated concentration, Belica has the raw power to make her targets simply disappear, melting health bars like nothing.

The only aspect of her perfect score that requires analyzation is how it gets there- no one specific Ability deals a boatload of damage, but it's when they're comboed together when Belica can make heads turn- and roll, if they're her enemies.
3. Belica's passive is Innovation, rewarding players by giving her Abilities small added benefits whenever their rank is maxed out. It also gives Belica an added benefit when maxing an Ability out. What benefit is it?

Answer: Ability Haste

Specifically, Belica gains 8% Ability Haste each time maxing out an Ability, for a grand total of 32% maximum when all four have been topped off. Given that players tend to choose one Ability over the others to max out, then repeat the process until they're all done, Innovation is easy to take advantage of and profitable to do so.
4. Void Bomb is Belica's Alternate Ability. It involves Belica very simply deploying a magical bomb on a target location. Like with all of Belica's Abilities, it benefits from Innovation. In what way does Innovation enhance Void Bomb when maxed?

Answer: A second bomb is deployed automatically

This second deployment occurs at absolutely zero cost, effectively doubling the damage output of this Ability for free when it is maxed out. If both bombs manage to land, they will activate two separate attacks from a nearby Void Drone, should Belica have deployed it prior to using Void Bomb.

Early game, Void Bomb tends to be Belica's best way to farm minion waves and poke at enemies. The poking aspect comes more into play when used as a Support, as Belica would not need Void Bomb to kill minions in that case and has two targets for the bomb anyway.

Late game, Void Bomb is an absolute menace in conjunction with Void Drone. This is a piece, an important one at that, to giving Belica her trademark combo/burst playstyle.
5. Belica's Primary Ability is Seismic Assault or, as I personally enjoy calling it, her 'burger flipping' Ability. As suggested, landing Seismic Assault will flip enemies into the air, briefly stunning them as they go flying. What benefit does this Ability gain when enhanced by Innovation?

Answer: Slightly longer stun

The added duration is a whopping 0.45 seconds. On paper, this seems meaningless and marginal. In actuality, the added time of nearly half a second feels like an eternity when you're constantly trying to avoid getting comboed into oblivion by a powerful magic character like Belica. The added stun duration can be just barely enough at times for Belica to successfully land aspects of a combo against a helpless character.

Against smaller characters who Belica is likely to face in the midlane is when this added duration truly shines. Belica players will often Seismic Assault, then follow it up with Void Bomb for a combo- landing Void Bomb in such rapid succession can be difficult against smaller characters, so the added 0.45 seconds can be the difference between having a split second to aim, and inadvertently letting the target escape or missing a rushed Void Bomb.
6. Void Drone is Belica's Secondary Ability. At first glance, it appears passive and useless. But it's real value can be found as a nasty zoning and combo tool. Which of the following is true about Void Drone?

Answer: It can attack many times in one deployment

When deploying a Void Drone, it will emit a very bright, blue pulsating wave that all players can see which highlights its area of effect. From within this AoE, if an enemy player uses an Ability, Void Drone will very quickly zap them for some Magic damage. Alternatively, if Belica can land her own Ability against an enemy inside the Void Drone AoE, it will similarly zap them.

The drone notably, slowly and passively drains mana from nearby enemies. This is definitely not the drone's most notable function, but it is a nice cherry on top.

The Drone will, if left untouched, remain deployed for ten seconds. During this time, it can attack an unlimited number of times. This is the secret ingredient conveying a recipe of destruction from within Belica's kit, as this Ability can be used to set up a myriad of lethal combos with skilled use.
7. Belica's Ultimate Ability is Neural Disruptor, where she finally unsheathes the pistol sidearm seen in her character portrait. One blast from this gun can deal loads of damage, being increased based on the target's what?

Answer: Missing Mana

This combos nicely out of Belica's Void Drone, which passively saps mana from nearby enemies. It's a great tool to end a fight and/or a combo with, and because it also briefly Silences victims, Belica can use this to interrupt enemy Ultimate abilities as well- this aspect comes in very handy as a Support, used to protect an allied Carry from the wrath of the enemy Carry or similar.
8. Like all Heroes, Belica may choose from one of three Augments. Her first choice is Pulsefire Rounds, enhancing Belica's basic attacks. What does it do to them?

Answer: Added Magic Damage

On paper, this Augment looks totally useless. After all, Belica gets a perfect 10 for Ability Power and a fairly dismal 2 for Basic Attacks- so why would she want an Augment that only enhances the latter...?

In actuality, this Augment is easily the best for if Belica is tasked with dealing damage- typically out of the Midlane.

The reasoning is this- Belica uniquely fires a three round burst from her SMG as a basic attack. This makes out her 2 in Basic Attack to be misleading, as she can attack extremely quickly with Basics compared to other Heroes.

As well, Belica is considered a "late game hero" due to her Abilities getting benefits late in the game. Her Abilities are absolutely not weak before getting buffed by Innovation, but she isn't especially strong until this is happening.

Until Belica can max her Abilities, she can fall back on Pulsefire Rounds to keep her damage output strong in the early going of a match. This pays dividends against other characters, especially those who also notoriously start off slow such as Renna and Gadget. Belica can use Pulsefire Rounds to bully the slow starters, as well as keep up with heroes who are stronger in the early game such as Morigesh and Gideon.
9. Devastating Bombs is Belica's second choice of an Augment, unsurprisingly enhancing Void Bomb. With this Augment, Void Bomb receives a substantial, albeit situational, buff. Against what will Devastating Bombs buff Void Bomb?

Answer: Isolated Targets

"Isolated Targets" is the game's way of wording it. Essentially, this means if Void Bomb only hits one single target, Devastating Bombs will enhance its damage output. This was clearly intended for use as a Midlaner. It can be effective, as an added 20% damage could make a Belica combo out to be even more devastating. That said, it comes at the cost of denying Belica the use of Pulsefire Rounds to supplement her relatively sluggish early game.
10. Combat Veteran is Belica's final Augment, granting a unique resource that Belica will passively gain over time, forever. What does Combat Veteran give?

Answer: Passive XP gain

The amount of experience gained scales with Belica's level, increasing slightly alongside it. This is typically an option where choosing Belica for the Support role, as she would not be killing minions, may want to rotate from the duo lane, and the XP gain lost from roaming would be made up for with this Augment.

It does compete with Pulsefire Rounds even here however, but it is still very much worth using.
