Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Muriel is the 'guardian angel' of this game, and fitfully has only been recommended for one role by Omeda Studios. What role?

Answer: Support

Muriel is another one of those characters who is extremely one dimensional and clearly only intended, and effective, in one role. Muriel is an excellent choice for protecting an allied Carry, as her kit is loaded with tools that can be used to help specifically keep them alive.

Muriel's damage output is extremely pathetic, and since the other four roles in this game tend to want characters who can actually fight, Muriel is a poor fit for any of them.
2. Muriel's stats are, unfortunately, shockingly low. What is her highest stat?

Answer: Durability

Muriel's Durability is her highest, yet it is still much below average for a Support, clocking in at a mediocre 4. Muriel's Ability Power and especially Basic Attack power are pitiful, with scores of 2 and 1 respectively. Finally, Muriel has no real means to get around the map fast with any real consistency, explaining her unremarkable score of 3 in this category.

While this may seem to make Muriel a bad character in general, it is actually something Omeda did out of necessity. In "Paragon", a game developed by a different company, Muriel's stats were merely average. Yet, Muriel turned out to be by far the absolute best Support in the game by a hundred miles, completely eclipsing the competition. Recognizing this, Omeda likely aimed to restrain Muriel's stat build as a means of bringing her in line with the competition, without tarnishing her amazing utility Abilities.
3. Muriel's Passive is Sentinel. With this, Muriel can buff allies and briefly enhance their damage output. What is this buffed damage output based on?

Answer: Muriel's Magical Power

The buff itself is fairly paltry, scaling off a fairly meager 10% of Muriel's Magical Power, while also granting a +2 to the total for each level Muriel has accumulated. This added damage is dealt as Magical damage.

While this may make the Passive as a whole out to seem useless, Muriel can very constantly buff her allies continually, all game long, at no real cost. Because of that, the added value from this Passive can really make a difference in the long haul.
4. Muriel's Alternate Ability is Alacrity, a simple button press to throw a small orb at an ally that provides them with some buffs. What is one buff Alacrity provides?

Answer: Attack Speed

It offers some Attack Speed, movement speed and a small shield. The extent of these values is based on Muriel's Magical power, incentivizing players to build items on her which enhance said stat.
5. Serenity, Muriel's Primary Ability, is pretty much the only means she has to actually deal even noticeable amounts of damage. When it hits a target, it also applies a status effect to them. What status?

Answer: Slow

The Slow on this is actually fairly significant; if properly coordinated with an allied Carry, Muriel can hit them with Serenity as the Carry runs at the target to initiate a conflict, giving the allied Carry a distinct upper hand. Some Carry characters such as Sparrow or Murdock who are adept at running targets down would appreciate this.

It also pierces through units, making it capable of hitting more than one target at a time; this aspect could be key in team fights.
6. Consecrated Ground is Muriel's Secondary Ability. It spawns a giant bubble that can encase allies, granting them a sizable shield. Other than shield allies, is this Ability capable of doing anything else?

Answer: Yes

Consecrated Ground will damage enemies which stand inside the zone, while simultaneously giving allies a shield. The shield, like anything else related to Muriel, is based off of Muriel's Magical power. Curiously, it actually scales very slightly higher in damage output than it does shield; likely a balancing maneuver to prevent the shield from being too strong in a situation where Muriel can hit both friend and foe with it.

The damage scaling is predictably pretty poor anyway.
7. Muriel's Ultimate Ability is Reversal of Fortune. Muriel can target allies with this, flying over toward them and landing on top to immediately (and often, abruptly) start supporting them. What is Reversal of Fortune's maximum range?

Answer: Infinite

When using Reversal of Fortune, the player must first press the button to ready the ability. This will cause Muriel to see outlines of their allies through walls. The game will give the player a white crosshair, which they must line up with the outline of their intended ally target. Once done, pressing the button to confirm the target will cause Muriel to leap up high, quickly flying over to the target and landing atop their position.

Once landing, Muriel will give the target a huge shield and Knock Up any enemies that they were near.

This can be huge for helping an ally eek out a tight 1-on-1 scenario. It can also be useful for helping an ally in peril flee from the enemy, as the Knock Up time is quite significant, and the shield the ally receives could be enough to give them just the health needed to escape to safety.
8. Like all Heroes, Muriel may choose from one of three Hero Augments. The first option is Circuit Reset, giving Alacrity an added buff it applies to recipients. What added buff?

Answer: Cooldown reduction

Alacrity is an easy Ability to use, both for Muriel and the target she intends to buff. And any Hero in the game will appreciate easy access to Cooldown reduction, making this Augment a safe, productive choice for all scenarios. Muriel can even use Alacrity on herself to gain the benefit.
9. Aerial Assistance makes up Muriel's second choice for an Augment. It allows Reversal of Fortune to Cleanse allied targets along with what added benefit?

Answer: Crowd Control immunity

This makes this Ability even better and more consistent at helping allies escape a bad situation, as it will stifle the enemy's capacity to try and lock an ally down for a kill.
10. Essence Nullifier is Muriel's final choice for an Augment, letting Serenity now have a bit more of a bite. Specifically, Serenity will now drain what from afflicted targets?

Answer: Mana

Every time Muriel hits a target with Serenity, they will lose 10% of their mana. This mana loss is then converted into True damage that the target additionally takes.

This Augment is very useful in the early game in particular, when characters are operating on limited mana pools that Muriel can easily and greatly disrupt.
