Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Kwang's stat build is a bit quirky for what appears to be, at first glance, a simple swordsman. What is his highest stat?

Answer: Ability Power

Kwang may appear to be just some guy aiming to hack and slash with a greatsword. But in actuality, Kwang is a Magical based Hero who deals the majority of his damage using Abilities. With an Ability Power of 7, Kwang has the power to put in work.
2. Kwang is more than just an average swordsman: he is a Magic-focused Hero wielding a sword. Omeda Studios has recommended two roles for Kwang. What is one of them?

Answer: Offlane

As a swordsman, Kwang unsurprisingly has been outfitted for close quarters combat. As such, the Offlane is a natural fit. In addition, Kwang's talents are worth extending to the Jungle as per Omeda Studios.

Kwang's kit does possess both utility and magical damage. He also possesses passable tankiness. This does mean Kwang is actually a pretty good choice for a Support character. The reason he is not recommended for this likely stems from the fact that his kit merely works for the role incidentally, and was not specifically intended to do so.

Though he deals significant Magic damage, Kwang doesn't possess the raw firepower nor the range to go toe to toe with the many mages of the Midlane. He would be an above average sized target for the Midlane, so it would be easy to land projectiles against him and outgun him subsequently.

As always, a player skilled enough could theoretically make any character work in any role. But, choosing a character in a role Omeda Studios does not recommend does generally mean the developers expect you to be playing at a disadvantage.
3. Kwang's Passive is Strike of the Heavens. Whenever Kwang damages an enemy with an Ability, it causes his sword to become buffed with electricity. What is one buff this electricity provides?

Answer: Attack Speed

Whenever Kwang gets the Strike of the Heaven boost, he briefly gains a significant Attack Speed boost as well as a major Magic damage buff to the very next Basic Attack he uses.

Kwang's gameplan often revolves around him using his Abilities to set himself up to close the gap and secure kills. Strike of the Heavens is part of that process in a major way.
4. Light of the Heavens is Kwang's Alternate Ability. It has a different effect depending on the status of Kwang's sword. Which of the following is something this Ability is capable of?

Answer: Dealing True Damage

If Kwang places his sword in the world using his Primary Ability, then activates Light of the Heavens, the damage will be dealt as True damage.

True damage cannot be resisted by any Armor, meaning Kwang can use this combo to try and deal with enemy tanks in the Offlane, or perhaps ambushing them out of the Jungle. This is crucial, as Kwang's kit generally otherwise lacks the raw power to push through particularly tanky characters.

If Light of the Heavens is used when the blade is in Kwang's hand, it will instead give Kwang a small shield and deal Magic damage to nearby enemies.
5. Judgment of the Heavens is Kwang's Primary Ability. This Ability lets Kwang apply a very rare, narrowly seen status effect to victims. What status?

Answer: Tether

The Tether status effect creates a small circle around the victim and prevents them from leaving that circle by almost any means; it completely counters movement abilities and can exclusively be overridden through the use of a Blink.

To use this Ability, the player must first press the Primary Ability button (L1 on a Playstation controller), which will spawn a blue cone only visible to the user. The player must move this cone and then re-press the button when ready. Kwang will throw his sword at the target location, Tethering anyone within the AoE.

Crucially, it is worth noting that this Ability can still deal damage even if the Tether fails. The area of effect remains until Kwang recalls the blade, meaning Kwang can still follow up by activating Light of the Heavens to deal damage to enemies who stumble into the small zone.

Landing this Ability is absolutely crucial to Kwang's gameplan. It wouldn't be wrong to say players who struggle to land this Ability, will struggle to succeed with Kwang in general.
6. Surge of the Heavens is Kwang's Secondary Ability. It appears to be a simple dash, and could be used as such, but it could also potentially inflict a very powerful status to foes. What status?

Answer: Knock Up

Knock Up is generally considered to be the strongest status effect in the game. The simple reason is that it is the only status in the game which cannot be cleansed, allowing for reliable combo potential out of it.

Kwang can only use this Ability to Knock Up if his blade is first placed in the world via Judgment of the Heavens. The idea would be to Tether a victim, then dash in and Knock Up as a combo starter.

The potential to Knock Up is massively what makes Kwang out to be surprisingly good as a Support character, in conjunction with his Tether. Allied Carry characters will appreciate their targets being confined to a small space, potentially alongside being briefly rendered helpless via Knock Up.
7. Kwang's Ultimate Ability is Fury of the Heavens. With this, Kwang can actually teleport across the entire map under what condition?

Answer: His Blade must be in the world

Kwang must first use Judgment of the Heavens to put his Blade in the world. Once this is done, Fury of the Heavens can be cast to let Kwang teleport directly to the spot his Blade rests in. So long as his Blade remains in the world, Kwang can use his Ultimate to teleport straight to it from wherever he may be.
8. Like all Heroes, Kwang may choose one of three Hero Augments. His first choice is Slayer of the Heavens. This provides a simple series of flat buffs to one of Kwang's Abilities. Which one?

Answer: Strike of the Heavens

Specifically, Strike of the Heavens will now deal a little more damage while having a slightly shorter cooldown. A simple series of buffs has a simple series of applications, making this Augment out to be straightforward and worth using.
9. Aura of the Heavens is Kwang's second Hero Augment. As the name implies, it grants Kwang an aura that benefits himself and nearby allies. What does the aura provide?

Answer: Omnivamp

Omnivamp is essentially a life steal that applies to any and all types of damage that can possibly be inflicted, be it direct damage, passive damage, basic attacks, Abilities, Physical, Magical, True... if it can be dealt as a form of damage, Omnivamp works with it.

The Omnivamp offered by this Augment gives allies very slightly more Omnivamp than it does Kwang himself. As such, it is the clear Augment of choice if Kwang is to be used as a Support.
10. Kwang's final Augment is Heavenly Tactician. This is definitely the "spiciest" Augment of the bunch, as it opens up a series of shenanigan potential. It gives Kwang a quirky benefit he can activate when Recalling or, returning to base. What benefit is it?

Answer: His Blade stays in the world

The other benefit is that Fury of the Heavens will also experience a steep cooldown reduction.

Because Fury of the Heavens causes Kwang to teleport to his Blade when in the world, the intention of this Augment is to allow Kwang to Recall, then activate Fury of the Heavens to instantly return to the place he was at when Recalling.

The practical application of this might be if the Kwang player is amidst a lane push but low on health, they could place their Blade in the world, Recall to restore health and mana, then activate Fury of the Heavens so they could pick right back where they left off.

In that situation, the player was able to Recall while losing no momentum or lane pressure whatsoever.

There are generally far better uses for Fury of the Heavens, but this does add an extra dimension to Kwang's gameplan.
