Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Iggy & Scorch (henceforth referred to as just "Iggy") may be two different characters, but they are part of the same Hero, and as such occupy one role at a time. What one role has Omeda Studios recommended for them?

Answer: Midlane

Iggy is another one of those characters clearly intended for Midlane use, boasting strong Abilities and lots of ranged Magic damage, and offering little to nothing else of value.

Having said that, because of how Iggy's kit can be used to play extremely defensively, Iggy isn't the worst choice for an Offlaner if the team around him can accommodate for his fairly noticeable lack of bulk/general survivability.

Sadly, the defensive kit doesn't translate as well to Support as one might think; while a Carry could appreciate being able to fall back on the defensive zone Iggy can create, Iggy's shortcomings as a proper Support become quite apparent when the duo needs to actually push and play offense a bit.
2. Iggy's stat build is incredibly slanted. What is, by far and away, Iggy's best stat?

Answer: Ability Power

Iggy is extremely reliant on Abilities to achieve virtually anything of value in this game, arguably moreso than most characters in this game.

Unfortunately, Iggy has very, very poor durability, virtually no means of escaping a bad situation and gets little value out of his fairly weak Basic Attacks.

As such, any item approach aiming to do anything other than enhance Iggy's Abilities further simply will not work.
3. Though Iggy's Basic Attacks deal virtually no damage, they can still see important use via his Passive, Badland's Critter. This Passive thrusts Scorch into the spotlight. What status effect will Iggy's Basic Attacks apply?

Answer: Slow

Each Basic Attack Iggy manages to land, up to a limit of three within a couple of seconds, will apply worsening Slow to his foes. As well, if Iggy manages to land a Basic Attack, his own exclusive mechanic in Slick will activate on enemies as well.

Enemies with Slick will briefly be more susceptible to Iggy's Abilities, taking more damage from them.
4. Iggy's Alternate Ability is Molotov. It is as simple as it seems, with him slinging a deadly Molotov Cocktail at a target location. It deals damage beyond the initial explosion, leaving behind a trail of flames in an AoE for how long?

Answer: 2.5 seconds

Enemies who remain within the AoE will actually take more damage than if they had been hit by the Molotov directly, then escaped further damage. As such, it will typically be more worth it to throw the Molotov where you think the enemy will walk into, instead of directly at the enemy.
5. Iggy's Primary Ability is his most infamous: Flame Turret. With this, Iggy can set up his trademark zones of death, making him infuriatingly difficult to fight up close. How many turrets can Iggy set at a time?

Answer: Three

These Turrets benefit from item ability effects, such as Megacosm's anti-tank properties or Dreambinder's slow effect. Because of this, approaching an Iggy with three Flame Turrets in his vicinity without dying is very difficult, as he can wrack up damage extremely quickly with three turrets up.

Often, because of how oppressive Iggy can make a small given area, Wraith is chosen to counterpick him at high levels of play. Wraith directly counters Flame Turrets, since he can easily snipe them from a distance before moving in to engage Iggy directly. Wraith's incredibly long range also means he can choose to ignore the Flame Turrets and shoot at Iggy directly from out of their range.

Other than Wraith however, an Iggy who plays very defensively is incredibly annoying to go against.
6. Oil Spill is Iggy's Secondary Ability. It applies a status effect to afflicted enemies. Which status?

Answer: Slow

This is quite handy, as Iggy can follow up by throwing a Molotov in the area Oil Spill was set in. When this is done, Molotov's AoE is greatly extended to fill the entirety of Oil Spill's AoE. This really helps Iggy clear minion waves early game, which can help keep up some pressure that his kit otherwise lacks.
7. Iggy's Ultimate Ability is Inferno, where Scorch takes front. When activated, Scorch will breathe a torrent of fire in a cone AoE in front of him for a few seconds, before finishing with a belch. Other than deal damage, what does the belch do?

Answer: Knock Back

The Knock Back makes this Ultimate discreetly utility laden, as Iggy can use it to escape a bad situation. He can do this by turning around to face a pursuing threat, activating Inferno, then walking backwards to make distance and simultaneously advance towards safety. By ending the Inferno within range of the pursuer, Iggy can knock them back pretty far.

If used offensively, Inferno can set Oil Spill ablaze. It also just does generally good damage, so it can simply be used to close out a 1-on-1 or a team fight scenario as well.
8. Like any Hero, Iggy may choose from one of three Hero Augments. His first choice is Turret Maniac: a simple acquisition of one turret to add to his maximum. However, this comes at the cost of making individual turrets slightly weaker. How?

Answer: They have less health

While the offensive potency of a whopping four turrets can't be overlooked, so too is the equally taxing drawback of the turrets having 20% less health. Early game characters often just barely lack the firepower to one shot a turret early game, but choosing this Augment can make that one shot happen.

Very defensively oriented players will thrive choosing this Augment, but it will otherwise prove to sap the player's mana too much to make it worth choosing offensively.
9. Badlands Belch is Iggy's second Hero Augment, impacting Inferno. As it implies, it affects Scorch's belch which ends the Ability. The addition is flat damage, based on what?

Answer: Target's missing health

This gives Inferno a psuedo-Execute mechanic in essence, by making it deal more damage the less health the target has. This can certainly be worthwhile, especially if the player opts to build items such as Overseer or Astral Catalyst to further enhance Inferno.
10. Iggy's final Hero Augment is Hold This! and Hold This! rewards players for landing direct hits with their Molotovs. What benefit do they gain for doing so?

Answer: Permanent damage bonus

Choosing this Augment causes subsequent direct hits with Molotov to deal increasingly more damage. However, the benefit is only specifically to direct hits with the Molotov, and nothing else is gained. Because Molotov already deals more damage with the AoE than direct hits anyway, this Augment is niche for practical use.

It does bear some novelty however, so it can be fun to just mess around and use.
