Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. The Fey (henceforth referred to as just "Fey") is a tiny, winged fairy-like creature proclaiming a love for the forest. What role has Omeda Studios recommended for her?

Answer: Midlane

Fey is yet another one of those characters who has very clearly been designed for just the one role. Yet, wielding loads of ranged magical power, Fey is very well suited for the Midlane.

With her kit containing a Slow and a grab, players have tried Fey out as a Support character. That said, while not the worst choice ever, there are numerous issues with Fey in this role that have unsurprisingly left her not recommended for it. Fey is extremely fragile, can't heal and her only form of hard Crowd Control is tied to her Ultimate. As such, Fey can often do little to sometimes absolutely nothing to protect an allied Carry, a hallmark task Supports are given.

The only appeal to Fey as a Support is that she can help 'poke' the enemy duo pretty much all laning phase long, and can do so effectively. Any smart team with good coordination is going to ensure their Jungler assists them though, so Fey and her allied Carry absolutely must keep their eyes peeled for the enemy Jungler. Or better yet, the Fey player would do best to simply choose an actual Support character instead. If they absolutely must choose a mage Support, the likes of Lt. Belica, Argus, even Renna and Gadget would be far superior to Fey.
2. Fey has one of, if not the single most extremely slanted stat builds seen on a character in this game. What is her highest stat?

Answer: Ability Power

Fey quite literally gets a perfect 10 for Ability Power, and horrendous 1s for her other three stats. Someone with power gaming experience in a tabletop RPG setting must have designed her statbuild like this; who cares about trifling details such as survivability and movement, when you can just hit as hard as possible, kill the enemy quickly and not have that stuff matter?

Indeed though, Fey is obnoxiously fragile, has no real means to escape a bad situation, and wields virtually worthless basic attacks. Her Abilities hit like a truck though, making item build approaches to Fey very straightforward.
3. Fey's Passive is Nature's Vengeance, spawning an Untamed Growth at the location of fallen enemies she was involved with killing. It also grants Fey an added buff to what?

Answer: Movement Speed

The boost to movement speed is fairly decent, but the duration is pretty pathetic. The idea was likely to try and make Fey slightly less susceptible to being revenge killed by the enemy, as the Untamed Growth could provide some kind of cover in conjunction with this very brief movement speed buff letting Fey flee.

That said, particularly fast characters like Kallari or Serath would have absolutely no trouble whatsoever catching up to Fey to run her down in this scenario. The Untamed Growth would be child's play for them to jump over, and they simply can catch up to Fey with their respective Abilities very easily if she doesn't have some means of immediate safety. So the movement speed will, typically, either be unneeded or not good enough.
4. Untamed Growth is Fey's Alternate Ability, and is spawned by her Passive automatically as well. On activating, Fey will throw a small plant at a target location that will eventually explode for moderate damage to enemies. How long will it be active before exploding?

Answer: 2.5 seconds

Untamed Growth is a bit difficult to properly use, but in theory can deliver quite a wallop for being an Alternate Ability. If foes are hit by both the initial deployment and follow up explosion, they will take quite a surprising amount of damage given that this isn't even an Ultimate. Of course, the main problem would be actually hitting enemies with both the deployment and the explosion, as an enemy can simply walk out of range of the explosion even if hit by the initial cast.

Though Fey is not a Carry, and should not expect to have a Support, if it's possible to time this Ability in conjunction with an allied Jungler or Support's Stun, Fey could get both the cast and explosion to work.
5. Fey's Primary Ability is Bramble Patch. This afflicts enemies with Slow and can deal some pretty serious damage, but it has some surprising utility as well- allies who step in the Bramble Patch receive what?

Answer: Movement speed

Bramble Patch creates a nasty line of magical thorns that deal gnarly Magic damage to anyone they touch that's an enemy. The Slow plus buffing ally movement speed is very notable.

Typically in Midlane, Fey players may save Bramble Patch, both for clearing minion waves and to assist a sudden allied invasion of their lane, slowing Fey's Midlane opponent and buffing the speed of an allied ambusher to help ensure a successful invasion.

The damage this Ability deals will always be useful as well, as it does do really strong damage and covers a fairly decent amount of ground.
6. Harvest Nettles is Fey's Secondary Ability. At a glance, it appears to be Fey simply throwing a bolt of magic at an enemy for straightforward damage. Enemies who treat it like this will probably end up dead really fast. What is a secondary aspect of Harvest Nettles?

Answer: Added damage on successive hits

Each time Fey hits an enemy player with Harvest Nettles, they will take 20% extra damage from specifically Harvest Nettles for the next eight seconds. This damage increase both stacks and refreshes forever, meaning it technically could eventually do enough damage to just straight up one shot someone if they were complacent enough. Harvest Nettles has a very low cooldown and comes out really fast, letting Fey use this as a means to out-box opposing Midlaners.

It has surprisingly decent range too, so Fey doesn't have to expose herself too badly to start trying to snowball with it.
7. Fey is in possession of arguably the most lethal Ultimate Ability in the entire game, Fly Trap. When deployed, Fly Trap will grab nearby enemy heroes, pull them in, deal a motherlode of Magic damage and even leave them with a nasty status effect after it's all over. What status?

Answer: Stun

Fly Trap deals a ton of damage, and even then still leaves enemies briefly incapacitated. It pulls them in before the stun too, so Fey can unleash her arsenal on them for multiple seconds before they can even start to fight back or, likelier, flee the field. In team fights, getting hit by Fly Trap is typically a death sentence for victims, as Fey's allies would also then be able to freely lay into a target who has already taken huge Magic damage to begin with.

That said, there is minor counterplay to this. An attentive player realizing they're about to get pulled by Fly Trap, can potentially put a structure such as a wall between themselves and the trap, which would prevent both the pull and the subsequent Stun. Argus can place an Ether Crystal in between himself and the Fly Trap that will suffice, and anyone who can drop something with collision in the world such as Kwang, Lt. Belica or Aurora could potentially do the same. Of course, they would have to be extremely quick to do so as Fly Trap will only wait two seconds before pulling nearby enemies.

Though there are plenty of contenders for the title of 'best Ultimate to have for a team fight', it would be really hard to argue at the end of the day that Fly Trap isn't it.
8. Fey may choose one of three Hero Augments. Her first choice is Verdant Embrace, turning Untamed Growth into a beneficial utility tool. When allies step into Untamed Growth, what will they receive?

Answer: Healing

In similar fashion to how it damages enemies, Untamed Growth will heal allies on the initial cast, then once again when it explodes if they remain in the area. Of course, since allies would be willing to receive healing juxtaposed to enemies receiving damage, landing both the cast and explosion on an ally would be considerably easier.

If Fey is ever used as a Support, this will be the highly recommended Augment of choice.

On one hand, Fey's Passive can automatically spawn an Untamed Growth to freely give healing to herself and allies. On the other hand, Fey is realistically still a poor choice for Support and this Augment is a highly questionable choice if Fey is being used as a Midlaner where she belongs.
9. Wild Growth is Fey's second Augment, offering a very simple buff to Bramble Patches. What buff?

Answer: Range

This Augment is one of those 'safe' choices, as a flat buff to range, one at a beefy 30% quantity, will always be appreciated in any and all contexts. In particular, this can come in handy during team fights, increasing the chances of Fey hitting multiple enemy players at once.
10. Fey's final Augment is Natural Infusion. This grants Fey a stackable, refreshable, temporary increase to her Ability Haste if she lands one of her Abilities on an enemy player. What Ability?

Answer: Harvest Nettles

Harvest Nettles already delivers a stackable, refreshable nasty damage increase against targets, so the Ability Haste is highly appreciated. Ability Haste will reduce the cooldown of Harvest Nettles, making it even easier for Fey to snowball with it, especially against stubborn enemies who are content to play out a long fight with her.

This Augment also gives Fey a bit of anti-tank, by making it easier to stack the damage increase against said foes who will typically try to outlast Fey in an extended conflict.
