With excellent melee capabilities and well above average survivability, Greystone excels in close quarters combat. This makes him excellent fighting 1-on-1 duels in the Offlane, as well as ambushing unsuspecting Midlaners as a Jungle role.

Greystone was very clearly tailor made for melee combat. While in theory any player skilled enough could succeed with even the dumbest character choice for a role, choosing Greystone for the Midlane or Support role is truly ill-advised, and he's clearly not made for the Carry role either.

His excellent survivability and decent damage output makes him a fantastic choice for the Offlane. Despite his rugged, tanky exterior, he does have good mobility that makes him a threat to ambush out of the Jungle as well.

Answer: Basic Attacks

This comes in very useful in just about any scenario imaginable, as all characters make use of their Basic Attack to at least a minor degree. Greystone can periodically use Stoicism to disrupt this immensely.

In addition to this, Stoicism grants Greystone extra passive health recovery which grows if Greystone falls under half health. This is excellent for allowing Greystone to slip away into the Jungle, take a brief period to heal, then jump straight back into the fray. It's also good for giving Greystone an extra bit of juice for fighting out a long 1v1 in the Offlane.

Answer: Cooldown Reduction

This is especially important for Greystone players to take advantage of if using him as a Jungler. Greystone's mobility is tied to this Ability, so landing it and enabling Greystone to stay close to ambushed enemies is of paramount importance.

It is also a very useful tool for helping Greystone escape a nasty situation. It can allow him to jump over walls.

Answer: Repeated Physical Armor Shred

The effect stacks continuously, so Make Way will deal more and more damage the longer the fight drags on. It can't drag on infinitely, as the Ability only lasts so long, but the Shred it offers will make Greystone's other Abilities and his Basic Attack hurt more too. Very few enemies can just take all of these hits without dying, giving Make Way a very clear and properly named niche.

Answer: Increased range

It also deals extra damage based off of Greystone's maximum HP, along with applying the Slow status effect. This makes it multi-faceted, capable of putting in work regardless of if the player wants a tankier or more damage-oriented approach to their Greystone build.

Answer: Intangibility

It also heals Greystone significantly while in Stasis, slows down nearby enemies, then features Greystone raining down from the sky stop his position to cause a massive explosion hitting nearby enemies.

While in Stasis, Greystone cannot be targeted or hit by anything. This is enemy attacks and effects, and also ally buffs, healing or anything else. Stasis is essentially pressing the pause button on the game for the player. It can be useful for situations when the player needs to stall something out, such as an ally stepping in to help deal with a threat.

Answer: The closest enemy

In the Offlane, this is likely to be giving Make Way a simple flat buff due to the lanes natural tendency to invite 1-on-1 combat.

It also has an added use for Jungle Greystone, helping Make Way deal significantly more damage to Objectives Junglers are tasked with destroying.

The explosion Stone Forged Soul offers ordinarily covers a decently sized circle around Greystone. This Augment simply slightly increases the size of the circle.

Answer: Reduce the target's incoming healing

Tainted Items are famous for being mandatory playing against certain characters with a lot of heal potential. Greystone can choose this Augment to grant Sacred Oath the Tainted effect. A skilled enough player could, in theory, refrain from building a Tainted Item and just use this Augment.
