Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Grux profiles as a melee bruiser-esque character. As such, what is his highest stat?

Answer: Basic Attack

As tends to be the case with Fighter-type Heroes, Grux has very well rounded stats. Compared to most other characters in this archetype, Grux is a little bit less tanky, but his kit has a fair bit more broad utility in the form of crowd control to compensate for this.
2. Grux being a type of rhino-esque creature, the Jungle fits him both thematically and mechanically. Omeda Studios has recommended him for this and one other role- what role?

Answer: Offlane

As a Fighter type character with well rounded stats, Grux is a natural fit in the Offlane. Because of his lack of blatant weaknesses and very strong overall kit, Grux has long enjoyed a successful history primarily in the Offlane, as far as high level play goes. However, he is also a perfectly good Jungler with his good stats and utility laden move pool.

It is worth noting that some players have tried their hand with Grux at the Support role. The majority of these players are likely to cite Grux's heavy crowd control-focused kit, being valuable to stun and hold enemies in place for the ally Carry to get kills against. While any player can theoretically succeed doing anything if they're skilled enough, Grux is not recommended for this role by Omeda Studios for good reason. He is realistically outclassed in anything he could try and do in this role by Steel, among others. While, as a standalone he might not be the absolute single worst choice for the role, he is still a bad one. His potential is wasted in the duo lane, and he is a character definitely best kept in his two recommended roles which fit him like a glove.
3. Grux's Passive is known as Bloodlust. This Passive helps Grux box enemies out in close quarters, applying a status to them continuously as he Basic Attacks them. What status?

Answer: Bleed

The Bleed lasts a few seconds and stacks up to six times. This incentivizes Grux players to consider items which improve his Attack Speed, as this would enable him to have a better time maximizing the Bloodlust stacks he can apply to enemies.
4. Double Pain is Grux's Alternate Ability, a simple simultaneous slash of both of his bone-clubs at once. Uniquely, landing this Ability offers a benefit to Grux apart from dealing damage to his target. What does he gain?

Answer: Healing

The health restored is a small fraction of Grux's max HP added to the percentage of HP missing converted into a whole number. A relatively minor amount, but it can make a huge difference in an otherwise evenly fought 1-on-1.
5. Grux's most famous Ability, his Primary in Smash 'n Grab, has the capability to pull enemies towards them and apply them with a vicious status effect as they can only stand helplessly and briefly get pummelled by Grux as he pulls them towards him. What status does this Ability inflict?

Answer: Stun

The range of this Ability can grow quite far, with the range growing as the player holds the button down and 'charges' it. It can grab multiple Heroes at once, and can lead to some devastating follow ups from Grux in turn.
6. Crush is Grux's Secondary Ability. Like Smash 'n Grab, it grants Grux some hard Crowd Control- what type?

Answer: Knock Up

This Ability is essentially a slight forward uppercut lunge that Knocks Up anyone in its path. It combos amazingly with Smash 'n Grab itself, allowing Grux to incapacitate enemies for potentially up to several seconds, if not outright kill them.
7. Warlord's Challenge is Grux's Ultimate Ability. It also applies hard Crowd Control in the form of a Stun to nearby enemies. The danger comes from within the huge buff it grants to Grux. What buff does this give him?

Answer: Attack Speed

The Attack Speed buff is quite large, leading to easy follow ups on Stunned enemies. It really gives Grux an excellent edge in 1v1s.
8. Like all Heroes, Grux may choose one of three Hero Augments. His first is Warlord's Might, a handy Augment for increasing the duration of Grux's Warlord's Challenge. With it equipped, what must Grux do to extend the duration of his Ultimate Ability?

Answer: Hit things

Every time Grux hits something while Warlord's Challenge is active with this Augment, he will extend the duration of it very slightly. This Augment unfortunately offers an increased benefit of this Augment used on minions, with the duration extension heing lessened when Grux hits enemy heroes. Because of this, it is not as useful in team fights as you'd hope, but still good for fighting the 1-on-1s Grux is so famous for getting into.
9. Grux's second Hero Augment is known as Lust for Blood, rewarding Grux for applying the maximum stacks of Bloodlust to enemies. When doing so, what added benefit will Grux be rewarded with when using Lust for Blood?

Answer: Extra healing

Grux will heal for more against targets he has applied the maximum stacks of Bloodlust against. This, much like Grux's first Augment choice, is mainly useful for fighting 1-on-1s, as maximizing Bloodlust stacks on more than one hero at a time is impractical.
10. Grux's third and final Hero Augment, Chieftain's Blink, impacts Grux's Blink as the title suggests. What does Chieftain's Blink do to Grux's Blink?

Answer: Reduces its cooldown

A simple, hefty reduction of roughly one third the cooldown is the benefit to Chieftain's Blink. This can be useful for helping Grux initiate encounters, just as it could for helping Grux to more readily escape bad situations.
