Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. As what is essentially this game's version of the grim reaper, the multi-faceted Sevarog has unsurprisingly been recommended for two separate roles in this game. What is one of them?

Answer: Offlane

Sevarog is a very tanky character, making the Offlane out to be a straightforward role for him. With various crowd control manuevers and a bit of damage output, Sevarog has also been recommended for the Jungle as well.
2. Sevarog's Passive is Reaper of Souls, a Passive demanding extreme skill to make the most out of. With it, Sevarog collects souls, which he needs to become powerful. How does Sevarog collect souls?

Answer: Killing Enemies with Abilities

This Passive is the reason Sevarog is generally thought of as the single hardest character to effectively play in this entire game. Without engaging with this Passive, Sevarog is extremely weak to the point where he will easily lose 1-on-1 fights to nearly anyone. If Sevarog takes full advantage of this Passive and collects a sufficient amount of Souls, however, he will suddenly become the very strongest character in the game who nobody will be able to defeat 1-on-1.

Unfortunately, recording last hits with Abilities to enough of a degree is quite challenging. Not only is just timing it right and calculating damage on minions a learning process in its own right, but enemy players are sure to want to disrupt Sevarog's efforts. Sevarog being really weak early doesn't help with this problem.

Again, though, a good Sevarog player who collects a sufficient amount of Souls has the means to become basically unstoppable. So this is a character overall who has a very high risk/reward element going on. If you play Sevarog, you accept that the first 10-15 minutes of an average game are going to be rough for you, but the ensuing game to be played will witness Sevarog take the game over.
3. Sevarog attains new milestones with his Reaper of Souls passive, that strengthen him. How many Souls does Sevarog have to collect to advance to a new "tier"?

Answer: 40

Sevarog has four "tiers" which he crosses through every 40 Souls collected. He gains a pretty significant buff with each milestone hit. He also gains some added Max HP and a little bit of added damage to his Siphon Ability.

At 40, Sevarog gains a helpful dose of Omni-Vamp to help with his survivability. At 80, Sevarog gains an aura that constantly applies Magic Shred to nearby foes as long as they're near him. At 120, Sevarog's Ultimate in Colossal Blow gains a massive buff. Finally, at the last benchmark of 160 Souls, reaching the fourth and final tier, Sevarog gains an aura that constantly deals percentage based damage to nearby foes.

If Sevarog reaches the fourth and final tier with his team having not basically lost the game already, he can put the entire team on his back and carry them to victory. He will be immensely powerful at the fourth tier, capable of not only acting as a frontline tank, but wielding terrifying damage output in tandem. It's up to the player to make it this far in as timely a manner as possible.
4. Sevarog's Alternate Ability is Phantom Rush, letting Sevarog perform a dash that passes through enemies. It afflicts them with a very brief Slow and deals damage based on what stat?

Answer: Sevarog's Max HP

As Sevarog is mostly a tank, dealing damage based on his Max HP is pretty ideal. It can hit multiple foes too, helpful during team fights.
5. Siphon is Sevarog's Primary Ability, and a beneficiary of his Passive. Other than deal damage, what does this Ability do?

Answer: Nothing

Because of the extremely fast animation and very low cooldown, this is frequently what Sevarog uses to deal the majority of his damage. With the rest of his kit being utility focused, Siphon is the juxtaposition as it only exists to deal raw Magical damage.
6. Subjugate is Sevarog's Alternate Ability. This is a utility laden Ability, afflicting targets with what status on hit?

Answer: Root

The Root combos beautifully into Phantom Rush and/or Colossal Blow in particular, letting Sevarog take control of the field. It exclusively scales off of Sevarog's Magical Power, but Subjugate itself is not typically used to mainly deal damage anyway, so Sevarog not building a whole ton of Magical Power won't be very much to his detriment.
7. Sevarog's Ultimate Ability is Colossal Blow, featuring Sevarog take a huge swing of his Harbinger hammer to send foes flying. This Ultimate is enhanced once Sevarog reaches 120 Souls. When enhanced, what will it now do?

Answer: Instantly kill minions

While the idea of using an Ultimate on minions seems absurd at first glance, doing this makes reaching the fourth and final tier of Reaper of Souls basically effortless. Sevarog can approach a single, condensed wave of minions and instantaneously acquire dozens of souls in one swift motion.

The execute means that Colossal Blow will just straight up kill all forms of minions right from full health, drastically reducing the precision needed to acquire Souls from the third tier and onward.
8. Sevarog has three Hero Augments to choose from. His first is Unholy Pursuit, making it to where Phantom Rush now acquires Souls if Sevarog hits an enemy player with it. How many Souls per player hit?

Answer: Two

This can be really nifty if Sevarog can hit more than an enemy at a time. But even then, Offlane Sevarog in particular will have many, easy opportunities to use this against the enemy Offlaner to more easily collect Souls. It still works for Jungle Sevarog, but it is a slightly more unwieldy pick for him given that he doesn't have a consistent lane opponent to use it on if being chosen as a Jungler.
9. Gravebreaker is Sevarog's second Hero Augment, impacting Colossal Blow. Colossal Blow will now gain an added benefit every 40 Souls Sevarog collects. What is the benefit?

Answer: Added Knockback

Colossal Blow already sends enemies flying, Gravebreaker just sends them flying even further. Every 40 Souls collected will add 15% to the distance foes are sent flying.

Apart from being just a funny novelty, Gravebreaker can essentially let Sevarog immediately remove an enemy from a team fight. This could be quite useful, temporarily nullifying the threat of a very dangerous foe and improving Sevarog's team's odds at winning the encounter.
10. Grim Harvest is Sevarog's final choice for an Augment. This applies a simple but very dangerous mechanic to Siphon. What mechanic is it?

Answer: Execute

Execute is a mechanic that establishes an HP threshold, then instantly kills a target who falls under this threshold. Even if shielded, a target of an Execute skill will be instantly killed if the Ability takes them under the threshold or connects with the target when they're already or about to be under said threshold.

In Sevarog's case, a Grim Harvest-enhanced Siphon will immediately kill a target if it causes them to fall at or below 6% of their maximum HP.
