Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. As a humanoid, walking talking monkey, it should come as no surprise Wukong has been recommended for the Jungle by Omeda Studios. Does he have another role he has been recommended for?

Answer: No

Most Junglers are recommended for the Offlane and vice versa, but not Wukong. Wukong's kit has been designed for speedy map traversal, going to one place, getting in and out to do one main thing, then getting out of dodge.

Wukong absolutely can work in the Offlane as, in a nutshell, he possesses the stats to do it. The reason he has not been recommended for this is likely due to his kit being intended for the Jungle, and only incidentally working in the Offlane.

Back when he was first released, Wukong was very briefly a menace in the Midlane. Subsequent instances of him being severely nerfed tarnished this.
2. Unsurprisingly, Wukong has very monkey-like traits that make his statbuild relatively straightforward. What is his highest stat?

Answer: Mobility

Welcome to the one character boasting a perfect 10/10 for Mobility. In general, Wukong's stats are fairly strong all around. He has 6s in both Basic Attack and Ability Power, helping him actually do what he came to do when his standout Mobility delivers him to his destination.

His Durability of 3 is not very good, but is just enough to let Wukong take a couple of hits if he absolutely has to.
3. Wukong's Passive is Somersault. It does one thing and one thing only. What can Wukong do with Somersault?

Answer: Double Jump

This serves to supplement Wukong's trademark mobility, as he can typically use this to get over walls in the Jungle. As well, it could be used to dodge various attacks, as Wukong can jump quite high.

Somersault does go on a cooldown when used, and this cooldown gradually decreases as Wukong levels up.
4. Wukong is a stance shifter, moving back and forth between his Spirit and Body forms. How many different Abilities can Wukong wield, not counting his ability to switch forms?

Answer: Six

Wukong's Abilities work in a manner unlike any other Hero. He has two Primary, two Alternate and two Secondary Abilities. Spirit and Body form have one of each type of Ability, and Wukong would need to be in that form in order to access that form's respective Abilities.
5. Wukong's Spirit Alternate Ability is Windsurge, featuring Wukong dash forward and damage any enemies he passes through. In doing so, he afflicts them with what status?

Answer: Slow

This is a rather simple ambushing tool: the duration on the Slow is weak, but it is just enough for Wukong to turn around, face anything he just Slowed and have an advantage catching back up to them should they try to flee.
6. Wukong's Body Alternate Ability is Force Push. As the title implies, it sharply pushes foes in a direction of the player's choosing and deals damage. Does this Ability have better damage scaling than Windsurge, Wukong's Spirit Alternate Ability?

Answer: No

Windsurge does slightly beat out Force Push for raw power, though the latter is definitely more consistently effective when used as a utility. The push is powerful and cannot be resisted other than through some use of the Unstoppable status effect. Wukong can do cheesy things with it, like push an enemy into his own tower and force them to get shot by it.

It could also be used to assist laners as Wukong is invading an allied lane, with Wukong approaching the enemy and pushing them into his ally so that they can proceed to 2-on-1 the assailant more effectively.
7. Cloudwalker is Wukong's Spirit Primary Ability, where Wukong can create a trail of clouds and walk atop them up high. Can anybody else use this trail of clouds?

Answer: Yes

Exclusively, Wukong's allies may also use this trail of clouds in the sky to escape. Wukong's enemies cannot use this trail, letting Wukong potentially extend Cloudwalker to an ally to help them escape a bad situation. That said, the clouds do not block projectiles, so enemies with ranged options can still pelt Wukong and friends from below.

As well, various manuevers such as Riktor's Riplash can pull or force allies off the cloud trail.
8. Pole Vault is Wukong's Body Primary Ability: a simple maneuver where Wukong jumps to a target location and buffs himself with what?

Answer: Attack Speed

This is a good tool for ambushing, as Wukong can catch foes out of position quite nicely and quickly.
9. Cyclebreaker profiles as Wukong's Spirit Secondary Ability. Wukong spins his staff dextrously around his body before throwing it at a target. If it hits, it applies what status?

Answer: Stun

This is a great tool to help close a fight or secure an ambush with. Wukong uniquely gains a damage reduction buff as he spins the staff around, making him more reliable at doing the deed.

This Ability has had quite the tumultuous history: when Wukong first came to the game, this Ability allowed him to straight up reflect projectiles while he was in staff-spinning animation. This is what led Wukong to getting out of hand as a Midlaner of all things, as he could brainlessly just walk right up to any mage not named Gadget, use Cyclebreaker to invalidate their entire kit, stun them and easily make short work of them after. Characters such as Gideon and Argus could do literally nothing but run away if Wukong started using Cyclebreaker, lest they essentially kill themselves with their own reflected projectiles. Wukong and his 10 in Mobility made sure they had lots of trouble actually escaping him when they would inevitably need to.

Cyclebreaker has been the subject of repeated nerfs from Omeda Studios, the most notable nerf being the change from projectile deflecting to simply taking less damage in general. This removed Wukong's Midlane viability entirely, transforming him from hero to zero in this role.
10. High Impact factors in as Wukong's Body Secondary Ability. Wukong will slam his staff down harshly on the ground from wherever he is at. There is a simple way to make this Ability deal as much damage as possible. Through what means can this Ability be buffed?

Answer: Higher aerial height = more damage

Because Wukong's Passive allows him to double jump, and he has Cloudwalker to let him basically reach the limit to how high this game will allow players to get, there are numerous creative ways players can amplify the damage output of High Impact. In general, this is the best Wukong can typically do if pure, raw damage output is needed.

Unfortunately, Wukong does need to basically land on top of enemies for it to actually hit them, so it can require plenty of precision to make the most of.
11. Wukong does technically have what the game rightfully considers an Ultimate Ability, known as 84,000 Hairs. What does 84,000 Hairs do on manual activation?

Answer: Lets Wukong switch stances

While this is listed in the game as an Ultimate Ability, it's really just a mechanism that allows Wukong to swap between Body and Spirit stances. Wukong can swap completely freely between the two, as it never undergoes any sort of a cooldown.
12. 84,000 Hairs has an added passive effect. When Wukong strikes five enemies, he receives a mini-Wukong minion to fight alongside him. How many minions can Wukong have active at once, as a maximum?

Answer: Five

It should be noted that the maximum begins at two, then gradually grows into five as Wukong levels up.

Predictably, these clones are nowhere near as strong as Wukong himself, having just a fraction of his maximum HP and not dealing anywhere near as much damage. That said, with five of them at his side, Wukong can be nasty to fight in close quarters in effectively having a numbers advantage.
13. As with all Heroes, Wukong gets three Hero Augments to choose from. His first choice is Prosperous Path, either rewarding him for getting kills with gold or healing based on what?

Answer: The stance he is in

Kills while in Body form will give Wukong extra gold, while kills recorded in Spirit form will instead replenish some of his missing HP.
14. Masterful Mimicry is Wukong's second Hero Augment, impacting his 84,000 Hairs "Ultimate Ability". Which of the following does this do?

Answer: +1 to minion capacity

Wukong can typically have anywhere from 2-5 minions at once depending on what level he is. Masterful Mimicry increases this to 3-6.
15. From Up High is Wukong's last Hero Augment, enhancing the maximum added damage range High Impact receives. Ordinarily, High Impact stops rewarding Wukong once he is 1,500 units in the air. With From Up High, what is the new damage cap to High Impact?

Answer: 10,000 units

At its maximum of 10,000 units in the sky, Wukong will straight up deal double damage with High Impact. This does come at a significant cost, though. If Wukong is not at least 6,000 units in the air, High Impact will actually suffer a damage penalty through this Augment.

As such, any Wukong player taking this Augment must ensure to tediously plan out how to use High Impact, as if they can't get up past 6,000 units before using it, they will straight up be nerfing themselves.
