Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Where is this boss encountered?

Answer: Shulva, Sanctum City

At the deepest of deep depths one can possibly go is the Dragon's Sanctum in Shulva, where Sinh resides. It is directly after the boss room belonging to Elana, the Squalid Queen. There is a bonfire right in between, so the run up to Sinh is negligible. As such, if the player takes a death, they can thankfully jump right back in and try the boss again without any run up required.
2. The Drakeblood Knights encountered in Shulva want to invade and incidentally kill Sinh. What motivation do they have for this?

Answer: "A true understanding of life"

The item description on Yorgh's Spear does clarify that this was the motivation for Yorgh and the Drakeblood Knights invading Shulva. However, the lore never clarifies on what exactly a 'true understanding of life' even means nor does it clarify how someone is supposed to attain that from the blood of a dragon.
3. Guardian Dragon only had about five thousand health, shooting up to near twenty thousand with the Ancient Dragon. Roughly how much health does Sinh have?

Answer: Ten thousand

At 10,094, Sinh has just a smidge less health than two Guardian Dragons combined. Two Sinhs put together also barely has more health than one single Ancient Dragon, putting Sinh at a comfortable middle between the two.
4. Sinh has a unique weak spot where, if struck, he will take extra damage. Where is Sinh's weak spot?

Answer: Neck

Lodged in Sinh's chest is Yorgh's Spear, which protrudes through the front and into the back of the mighty dragon. Striking the space this spear is in will deal 50% extra damage.

While Sinh's tail can be cut clean off, there is no advantage to doing this, and Sinh will never take extra damage in trying to, or even successfully achieving this.
5. What is Sinh's biggest elemental weakness?

Answer: Dark

Curiously, this is the only dragon in the entire game to actually resist, and not be weak to, Lightning. Sinh's scales resist electricity by 30% and Fire by 51%. However, Sinh is 30% weak to Dark, which is fairly significant.
6. Players intending to fell this dragon with melee must ensure to pack plenty of Repair Powder. What happens when striking Sinh with melee?

Answer: Extra durability lost

Durability consumption is jacked up by 2.5x when striking Sinh with melee. Unless using an extremely durable weapon like the Smelter Hammer, it is virtually impossible to make it the length of this fight without Durability being an issue. To avoid breaking one's weapon striking Sinh, the player should make it a point to pack at least a few things of Repair Powder, or a sturdy backup weapon.
7. There are two NPCs available to help the player fight Sinh. Who is one of them?

Answer: Transcendent Edde

This is the one and only place in the entire game Edde appears. Summoning him is akin to summoning one of the Dragon Warriors from the Dragon Shrine. Edde is pretty durable and aggressive, proving a very useful distraction against Sinh, so the player can more readily land big hits against the dragon.

The other summon, Abbess Feeva, is significantly less useful. She exclusively attacks with Miracles, which Sinh resists by 30%. She is nowhere near as bulky or aggressive as Edde is, so she won't distract Sinh remotely close to as effectively, and she will do less damage than Edde as well.

Simply put, choose Transcendent Edde, and not Abbess Feeva, for help if struggling with this boss.
8. Both Guardian and Ancient Dragon have unique, silly even, death animations when landing the final blow while they are in the air, mid flight. Does Sinh also have a unique death animation?

Answer: Yes

Like the Guardian Dragon, if Sinh is killed mid air, he will essentially do a 180, turn flat on his back, fall from the sky and die. Unlike Guardian Dragon however, Sinh does not have silly collision with the wall, so he will always be able to fall to the ground, jank free.

While this does look better and more 'professional', it's less silly than Guardian Dragon constantly rubber banding into and out of the wall as the thing is just trying to hurry up and die already.
9. Incidentally, the player can pick up the Yorgh's Ring within Sinh's boss room. What does the Yorgh's Ring do?

Answer: Occasionally deflect spells

On equipping this ring, the player has a 10% chance to have a spell aimed at them simply bounce off and do nothing. Note that this does not apply to all spells, only spells which can be aimed and fired, such as Soul Arrow or Dark Orb. Spells which are not aimed, like Heavenly Thunder or Chaos Storm, can never be deflected.
10. On defeat, Sinh drops the Soul of Sinh, the Slumbering Dragon to the player. This soul is used to earn the Yorgh's Spear, a really wacky weapon at that. The mere act of holding this spear alters the player's stats massively. What is one change experienced from simply wielding the Yorgh's Spear?

Answer: Poison resistance significantly enhanced

The resistance increase is a pretty ridiculous 200, enough to ensure the player will never experience significant issues with Poison ever again while wielding it. However, the spear also imposes a reduction of 70 to the player's Fire, Dark and Magic resistances, which is an equally taxing and significant detriment. The player will, in essence, be weak to these elements, similar to how bosses carry their own weaknesses.

As such, the player needs to be mindful of the significant change to their stats which will be imposed by equipping the Yorgh's Spear.
