Answer: Memory of the Iron King

In order to access this Memory, the player must have obtained both the Ashen Mist Heart and the Crown of the Iron King. Therefore, Fume Knight is a mandatory boss fight to overcome if the player wants to reach Sir Alonne, and they must also have interacted with the Ancient Dragon.

Answer: Nothing

Despite the Alonne Knights working under him being very, very weak to Strike and Lightning, the main man himself does not fear these forms of damage. He is neutral to Strike at a 0% resistance, but he resists Lightning by 30%.

Answer: Quickly beat Sir Alonne without getting hit

If the player beats Sir Alonne within three minutes, and does so without taking a hit from Alonne, that will unlock his unique death animation. In it, Alonne will seppuku or, impale himself with his katana, shortly before fading away.

If the player takes long than three minutes, or is hit by Alonne at any point, he will simply slump to the ground and die when the player beats him.

Worth noting, the player is allowed to use a shield to block a hit, and it will still count as not having been hit. However, the shield must have perfect 100% physical absorption, so that the player does not take any damage from blocking a hit. The key thing to note is, the player must simply beat Alonne quickly, without suffering any damage.

Answer: No

This is a grab attack, and will thus completely ignore all shields of any kind. If it lands, Sir Alonne impales the player with his sword, then tosses them to the side and receives a buff to his katana. Alonne's damage output for the next forty seconds will actually rival Fume Knight's second phase, and with Alonne being much faster than Fume Knight, things can quickly get out of hand for the player if he manages to land this attack.

As such, the player absolutely needs to get out of the way when Alonne tries to skewer them with his dark sword.

Answer: Drifter Swordsman Aidel

Both Aidel and the other choice, Steel-willed Lorrie, can actually be surprisingly useful against Alonne. They do very poor damage to him, but their presence will make actually landing hits against the speedy Alonne much easier as they'll serve as capable distractions.

It is recommended that the player either summons both of them, or neither of them. If they only summon one, they will find their NPC of choice dying quickly and without much use, as neither does much damage. In choosing both NPCs, they can and often will take turns getting hit by Sir Alonne, which will enhance both of their survivability.

Answer: Parry them

At random times throughout the fight, Sir Alonne will grip his weapon with two hands and hold it up, about the level of his waist, while slowly walking in place and constantly directly facing the player. If he does this and the player attempts to hit him with a melee attack, he will parry them with 100% efficiency and land a follow up riposte every time.

The only other boss in this game who can parry the player is Lost Sinner. Much like Lost Sinner, Sir Alonne's riposte does motherlodes of damage. Unlike Lost Sinner however, Sir Alonne is scaled for the end game.

Personally, I have helped dozens of people kill this boss, and I have never ever seen anybody survive being parried by Alonne. It might theoretically be possible with the correct defense buffs at the perfect time. But, practically speaking, it is basically impossible to survive being parried by Alonne.

Answer: Iron King

Reflected in the lore is that the player must have the Crown of the Iron King in their inventory in order to even reach Sir Alonne. As well, the name of the area he is found in is called the Memory of the Iron King.

Finally, namesake warriors known as Alonne Knights massively populate all of the Iron Keep itself. The lore clarifies that, in honor of his service, the Iron King opted to name his men 'Alonne Knights', and it's also worth noting that Sir Alonne trained the Iron King's men himself. This is why the Alonne Knights fight with katanas in the first place.

It's also of minor note that Sir Alonne's 44% resistance to Fire is his biggest elemental resistance. Fire, of course, is found in droves around the Iron Keep, both inside and encompassing the massive lake of lava outside and surrounding the castle.

Answer: A piece of Sir Alonne's armor

For the summon and the summon only, Sir Alonne has a guaranteed chance to drop one random piece of his armor set. This is unique, as the only other way to get Sir Alonne's armor would be to first kill him as the host, then go and buy it for a pretty steep amount of souls.

Thus, if the player is stingy, wants Alonne's armor set but doesn't want to pay souls to get it, they could just help a bunch of people kill Sir Alonne and, eventually, pick the entire set up.

Answer: Magerold of Lanafir

Like Fume Knight's armor set and unlike the Dragonrider set, Sir Alonne's set is available immediately after he has been defeated. Much like Fume Knight's set though, the set as a whole is incredibly expensive.

Curiously, Sir Alonne's set offers worse defensive values across the board than the Alonne Knight or Alonne Captain sets. It is significantly lighter, and thus the values are technically more efficient. But, if the player is not concerned with the set's weight and wants good defensive values, the Sir Alonne set is actually somewhat of a weak choice. It is therefore best suited for people wanting to cosplay as Sir Alonne.

Answer: S

On paper only, the Bewitched Alonne Sword appears wholly outclassed by the Chaos Blade, which has both greater base damage and very slightly stronger scaling, of the S grade but slightly higher at that.

However, when two-handing the weapon and activating the special button (L2 on PlayStation), the player will perform a seppuku animation. The animation deals significant damage to themselves, but will then uniquely buff the blade with the same effect it gets when Alonne skewers the player with it using his grab attack. For thirty seconds, the player has a katana which could level an empire in mere minutes with its disgusting damage output. For those thirty seconds, this weapon is easily the most powerful Dexterity weapon one could ask for.

Caveats to be had are, of course, the player must significantly damage themselves to gain the buff. As well, the seppuku costs 10 Durability to perform, and this weapon only has 30 Durability. Katanas are normally terrible for Durability, and this one is not an exception. As such, the Bracing Knuckle Ring is extremely highly advised to those looking to use the Bewitched Alonne Sword.
