Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Keith Collins will come to the player, offering the incredible prospect of a truth serum they can use for their interrogation efforts. To make it, he requires the player bring him three ingredients. Which of the following is NOT one of the required ingredients?

Answer: Marijuana

With coffee, paprika and a little bit of cocaine in hand, Collins will be able to permanently supply the player with 'truth serum' for the remainder of the playthrough. However, truth serum will not work very effectively against suspects who have a high tolerance to drugs, and for fairly obvious reasons, so the player will mainly use it on sober suspects they take in.
2. The player has been under constant pressure from Mr Fry to make some money, and fast. They can get it from a very particular, morally ambiguous hospital doctor who can also perform a service for the player. Who do they need to seek out for some early game money in the form of gold?

Answer: Avanes Kanayan

Avanes Kanayan is the head of staff at the Sharpwood Hospital. He requests the player send police officers to a graveyard, where he had buried gold to hide from an ongoing investigation of unknown origin. By digging it up and selling it, the player will immediately earn $19,925 which nearly by itself reaches the $20,000 weekly fee they need to pay to Mr Fry.

Avanes Kanayan will also euthanize wounded police officers at the player's request. While this seems abhorrent and counterintuitive, the player will be granted a free replacement from Lily if an officer dies in the hospital. While highly immoral, this can be a great way to replace officers with low Professionalism with those that have high Professionalism.
3. Rafa Ganim is a merchant. She isn't interested in just anything, though. What will she buy and sell from the player?

Answer: Illegal goods

Ganim is the best place to go for the player to sell any drugs they confiscate off of criminals or find otherwise. Illegal goods have a high sell value, so this is a great way to earn enough money to pay Mr Fry his owed $20,000 each week.
4. The player will be introduced to the Winter Nights Tactical Mission, and they are given three days to prepare for this mission. They are required by the game to come with very specific perks or equipment, or they will automatically forfeit the mission when time expires. Which of the following is required in order to complete Winter Nights?

Answer: Stun grenade

The Jumper perk is the only required perk for this, and only one officer actually has to have it. It is needed in order to jump over the front fence, get to the front door, and let other officers in through it. No other perks are required, but if the player somehow doesn't have someone with Jumper before their three prep days are used, they will be unable to even begin the mission, much less finish it.

Two stun grenades and a police baton make up the rest of this mission's prerequisites. It is worth noting, unlike Jumper, it is actually possible to complete this mission, flawlessly, without actually using these items. The game will require the player to have these items to hand to start the mission, but it can be completed without actually consuming and using them.
5. Britt Carter joins the force early in December, as an adversary to the player. The player's performance is closely compared to Carter's, prompting them to "defeat" Carter. In a nutshell, how does the player defeat him?

Answer: Successfully responding to calls/missions more than him

The actual difference in gameplay pre and post Britt Carter is negligible. The player should simply continue to play the game as they have, and if they are successful, they will defeat him without much issue. The player earns three points for successfully responding to a call, but if the call goes poorly or the player does not respond to it at all, Carter gets one point. If this is a Tactical Mission, the player earns twenty points for successfully doing it, juxtaposed to Carter earning fifteen points if the player messes this up.

After seven in-game days, the total of points is tallied. If the player loses, they experience a game over and must go back a week to try again. If they win, Carter will essentially get killed off camera and the playthrough of the game proceeds.
6. Helmuth Martinek will offer to arrange for firing range sessions, to help officers increase their Shooting scores. However, in return, he demands quite a lot of stun grenades from the player. How many stun grenades must the player give Martinek for his firing range to open?

Answer: Six

What or why Martinek needs these grenades is never revealed. But, they can be pretty cheaply purchased using bottle tabs, or bought from Rafa Ganim. Martinek's firing range is not the most useful anyway.
7. Early in the month, the police department's chef randomly quits the job. In order to feed their police force, the player along with a small budget allocated to them must go to a restaurant. What restaurant are they going to for this?

Answer: Rocky's Fingers

The Northstar is a grocery store, while Beauty and the Beast is the town hair salon. Eddie's Burgers is from the first "This is the Police" game.

Rocky's Fingers serves a litany of different dishes the player can order. They will need to base their decision on the tastes of their officers, though. The loyalty mechanic as at risk if ordering food that the cops don't like!
8. On December 11th, a horrible natural disaster massively impacts the Sharpwood economy. What happens?

Answer: Blizzard

A blizzard will collapse several trees in the Sharpwood Forest, cutting off delivery trails for any sort of ground vehicle like a truck. From here, the player will no longer be able to buy infinite amounts of anything. In exchange, anything they do sell will earn them more money.
9. The player will later receive an extremely bizarre request from an unknown "donor." This donor wants to perform human experimentation, requesting the player inject an officer with what?

Answer: Moose blood

The identity of the "donor", who freely gave over several needles full of moose blood, is never revealed. The request is simple; if the player injects an officer with moose blood, then documents their findings, they will be paid 'generously'.

Of course, the player is never able to reap any rewards from this for one of two reasons: the first is that most officers will, understandably, refuse to be injected with moose blood. However, the second, is that any officer which is injected with moose blood will received the Alcoholic status effect. Not just any Alcoholic status, this one uniquely grants a 100% lethality chance if the officer responds to any calls. If injected, the next call the officer is sent on will always result in a DUI related death.

As such, the player should refuse this shady, weird request.
10. The Society of the Beginning has some audacity. They will offer to pay the player if they do what?

Answer: Murder one of their police officers

The specific officer is chosen at random. If the player refuses, the Society of the Beginning will return each day, with a newly randomized officer, until the player obliges. If the player does eventually agree and gets the requested officer killed, they will be paid a whopping $20,000.

However, this will come at the expense of unbelievable losses of loyalty from a litany of other random officers, which will almost certainly cause at least some to lose loyalty altogether.
