Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. This actor portrayed the boy Anna had a crush on in the 2003 movie remake of "Freaky Friday".

Answer: Chad Michael Murray

He portrayed bad image Jake, who owned a Ducati motorcycle. As this character, he ended up liking Anna's mom because of her personality, when in reality, it was Anna trapped in her mother's body. He also had a recurring role on "Dawson's Creek". He starred on the TV series "One Tree Hill" as Luke Scott. Chad was born in Buffalo, NY and his birthday is August 24, 1981.
2. This singer originally sang "I Honestly Love You" in 1974 and it was a successful hit.

Answer: Olivia Newton-John

This was her first number one hit in the United States. In 1974, she also won Grammy Awards for Female Pop Vocal Performance and Record of the Year. In 1977, she released this song again. Olivia's music remained consistent and has been added to various movies over the years.

Her song "I Honestly Love You" was in the 2001 movie of "The Wedding Planner". She was in the hit movie "Grease" as Sandy with co-star John Travolta. Olivia was born September 26, 1948 in Cambridge, England. Her German grandfather, Max Born was a Nobel Prize winner in Physics.
3. This actor guest starred on "Charmed" and also had a recurring role on the TV series "The Dead Zone".

Answer: Sean Patrick Flanery

In "Charmed" Sean portrayed Adam in an episode featuring Phoebe and Cole. It was similar to a Cinderella story and called "Happily Ever After". He also appeared as Greg Stillson on the popular TV series "The Dead Zone". Sean was born October 11, 1965 in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
4. How many of you remember this actor for his role of Detective Temple Page in the TV series "The District"?

Answer: Sean Patrick Thomas

In "The District", Page was a caring, and dedicated police officer with strong religious beliefs that carried him through a crisis. Sean also appeared in the movies "Save the Last Dance" in 2001, and "Barbershop" & "Barbershop 2: Open for Business" as Jimmy James. Sean was born December 17, 1970 in Wilmington, Delaware.
Brown portrayed Detective Chief Joe Nolan on "The District".
5. Her career took off when she appeared as Stacy Hamilton in the 1982 movie "Fast Times at Ridgemont High".

Answer: Jennifer Jason Leigh

In the movie "Fast Times at Ridgemont High", Stacy was Brad's younger sister and like all teens, was trying to find happiness in her teenage world. This movie co-starred Sean Penn and other unknowns of that time, who later became big movie stars. This remains one of my favorites about the 1980's era. Jennifer was born February 5, 1962 in Hollywood, California.

She appeared in the 2002 movie "Road to Perdition" as Annie Sullivan.
6. This actor portrayed Detective John Clark, Jr. in the TV series "NYPD Blue".

Answer: Mark-Paul Gosselaar

From 2001 to 2005, Mark portrayed Detective John Clark on "NYPD Blue". He was paired with Franz's Sipowicz, providing a younger and more laid back character to the hard and tragedy ridden detective. Mark's real name is Mark-Paul Harry Gosselaar and he was born March 1, 1974 in Panorama, California. Most viewers remember Mark's role as Zach Morris from "Saved by the Bell" and "SBTB: The College Years".

It was wonderful to see Mark back on the screen in the movie "Atomic Twister" in 2002.
7. This actor was most remembered for being a dance student in the original 1980 movie "Fame" and resumed his role on the TV series of the same name.

Answer: Gene Anthony Ray

Gene portrayed Leroy Johnson in "Fame". Believe it or not, Gene was not a trained professional dancer and just had pure talent! I remember he had long braids and he really knew how to move to that dance music! Gene was born May 24, 1962 in Harlem in New York, New York.

In 2003, he appeared in the show's reunion documentary. Sadly, he suffered a stroke in June 2003 and died from its complications on November 14, 2003.
8. She is remembered by viewers for the mid 1990's TV series "Sabrina the Teenage Witch".

Answer: Melissa Joan Hart

Melissa, as Sabrina Spellman was in this comedy about a teenager who found out she was a witch. She was also in the TV series "Clarissa Explains It All" as Clarissa Darling. Melissa was in the movie "Rent Control" in 2002, and appeared in "Celebrity Blackjack" in 2004. Melissa was born April 18, 1976 in Smithtown, Long Island, New York.
9. All of these appeared at sometime during the run of the TV series "Dawson's Creek". Which of these cast members, in their given character role, had a dream of having a seafood restaurant?

Answer: John Wesley Shipp

Shipp was the father named Mitch in the TV series. I never did figure out what he did for a living but I do know he had a dream of having his own seafood restaurant. It was believed at first to be Mitch's dream, but later on Mitch told Gale that it was always her dream also. Humes was Gale, the mother of Dawson and wife to Mitch. Peil portrayed Evelyn, "Grams" Ryan. Murray was a newcomer named Charlie who came to the town towards the end of the series. Shipp was in the 2005 premiere TV series "Palmetto Pointe" as Michael Jones.
10. This person was in Bruce Springsteen's "Dancing in the Dark" video.

Answer: Courteney or Courteney Cox Arquette

Courteney Cox was the lucky girl chosen to dance with Bruce "The Boss" Springsteen! Traditionally, Bruce would pick a fan from the audience during his concerts, and a young lady would dance with him to this famous song. Brian de Palma cast Cox for Bruce's video and it helped her acting career take off.

In 1984, she was cast on the soap opera "As the World Turns". She is mainly recognized for her character on "Friends" as Monica Geller Bing. She was the only main cast member not nominated for an Emmy Award during her tenure on "Friends". Courteney also appeared on the TV series "Family Ties" as one of Alex's girlfriends, Lauren. Cox met Arquette while filming "Scream".

She appeared in the original "Scream" trilogy. Courteney married David Arquette in 1999 and in June 2004, they had a daughter named Coco Riley Arquette. Courteney Bass Cox was born on June 15, 1964 in Birmingham, Alabama. According to http://www.imdb.com/ she is occasionally credited as Courteney Cox Arquette or Courteney Cox-Arquette.
