Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What is Darkwing Duck's suburban alias?

Answer: Drake Mallard

Drake Mallard is the real name of Darkwing Duck. His name probably comes from the fact that he is a male duck (drake) and he is from America (mallard is the most common type of duck in North America).
2. In the episode "Paraducks," what was the name of the little bully that picked on Drakey (little Darkwing)?

Answer: Lamont

Elmo Sputterspark went to high school with an older Darkwing and went on to become Megavolt. Reginald Bushroot became Bushroot, the half-plant, half-duck villian. And Fenton Crackshell isn't such a bad guy...he's Gizmoduck!
3. From the episode entitled "Just Us Justice Ducks," complete the quote. "Four, Eight, Three Hundred, Twenty-six. Ha! Numbers don't scare me! Once I catch up to those confounding criminals, their conniving conspiracies will be _____."

Answer: Kaput

Darkwing always used alliterations for comedic sentences. He says this one as he is following J. Gander Hooter into another room in this episode. An alliteration, as defined by dictionary.com, is
"1. the commencement of two or more stressed syllables of a word group either with the same consonant sound or sound group (consonantal alliteration), as in from stem to stern, or with a vowel sound that may differ from syllable to syllable (vocalic alliteration), as in each to all. Compare consonance (def. 4a).
2. the commencement of two or more words of a word group with the same letter, as in apt alliteration's artful aid."
4. Which five villains are the Fearsome Five?

Answer: Negaduck, Bushroot, Liquidator, Megavolt, Quackerjack

The episode in which these five first join forces, "Just Us Justice Ducks," is an all-time fan favorite. The Fearsome Five is most likely a parody of Spider-Man's Sinister Six.
5. In what three episodes do the Fearsome Five reappear TOGETHER, excluding "Just Us Justice Ducks"?

Answer: "Jail Bird," "Life, the Negavers, and Everything" and "Darkwing Doubloon."

Technically, the Fearsome Five only make a small appearance in "Life, the Negaverse, and Everything," but they do appear in it. As for "Darkwing Doubloon," it is played off as the present Darkwing telling a story of one of his ancestors who battled a group strongly resembling the Fearsome Five...
6. What is the name of Darkwing's daughter's best friend?

Answer: Honker Muddlefoot

Dear little Honker. Even when Gosalyn becomes Quiverwing Quack, Honker is there to become her sidekick, The Arrow Kid. In a later episode, when Gosalyn and Darkwing travel to China, they meet a Honker look alike.
7. To get to Darkwing Tower, Darkwing presses a statue. What is this a statue of?

Answer: Basil of Baker Street

Basil was in the movie "The Great Mouse Detective", and his character is obviously based very highly on that of Sherlock Holmes--who makes very small cameos in the film. "The Great Mouse Detective" was released in 1986.
8. In the episode "The Haunting of Mr. Banana Brain" what is the object from which Paddywhack originates?

Answer: A Jack in the Box

Later in the episode, he pulls both Darkwing and Quackerjack into the Jack in the Box. Inside it, Darkwing is dressed as a clown, and Quackerjack is dressed as a business man.
9. What is Darkwing's famous entrance line?

Answer: "I am the terror that flaps in the night!"

He says this in every episode, but it is not always finished. For example, he never gets to finish the whole phrase in the episode "Just Us Justice Ducks." And in one episode with Quackerjack, he finishes it, after appearing out of a cloud of pink smoke, "And I am obviously out of my trademark blue smoke."
10. What alias does Darkwing's Daughter, Gosalyn, take up that includes a costume that looks like Robin Hood and archery?

Answer: Quiverwing Quack

Quiverwing Quack appears in another episode besides the one that is named after her. In her title episode, Negaduck tries to kill her to reclaim his spot as Public Enemy Number One. In the other one, Darkwing and Quiverwing go to a comic book convention--where Quiverwing is more popular--and must face off with Splatter Phoenix.
