1. Malala Yousafzai

Answer: Women's rights to education

Malala, a Pakistani, was very vocal about women's education. As a result, the Taliban tried to murder her. They failed and she went on to advocate for education for women. She was 17 when she won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2014.
2. Greta Thunberg

Answer: Climate change

At age 17, Greta began protesting the Swedish government's lack of action on climate change. She spoke about climate change at the UN and Time Magazine named her "Person of the Year" in 2019.
3. Jaylen Arnold

Answer: Anti-bullying

Because of his differences, Jaylen was bullied at school. As a result, he began Jaylen's Challenge Foundation, an anti-bullying organization. For his work against bullying, Jaylen became a World of Children award honoree in 2014, and received the Princess Diana Legacy Award in 2017.
4. Marley Dias

Answer: Cultural diversity

Marley was concerned that books needed to be more culturally diverse. In 2015, she began the #1000BlackGirlBooks movement.
5. Isra Hirsi

Isra is an American environmental activist who founded the U.S. Youth Climate Strike. The daughter of a Somali-American mother who was active in politics, Isra gained attention following her arrest as part of a 2024 university protest against the invasion of Gaza by Israeli forces, but her activism started at the age of 12, when she participated in protests about the death of Jamar Clark.
6. Sophie Cruz

Sophie is an advocate for migrant's rights. In 2015, at age 4, she handed Pope Francis I a letter asking for his help to keep her parents from being deported.
7. Jasilyn Charger

Answer: Indigenous people

After a difficult childhood involving foster care, separated from their (preferred pronoun) twin sister followed by time in a mental health establishment, Jasilyn emerged at 18 determined to help make things better for indigenous young people, and founded the One Mind Youth Movement in 2015.

Her activism has since extended to advocacy for protecting the lands of the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe, of which she is a member.
8. Jazz Jennings

Answer: LGBTQ

At age 6, Jazz became an advocate for transgender youth following a 2006 televised interview in which she became the youngest (at that time) person to publicly identify themselves as transgender. In 2013 she founded Purple Rainbow Tails, a company that uses its profits to support transgender children.
9. Param Jaggi

Answer: Environmentalism

An environmental activist, Param built the first model of Algae Mobile, a device that changes carbon dioxide emissions from cars into oxygen, in 2008; he was 14 at the time. He filed a patent application in 2009, which was registered in 2013. He has won numerous awards for this invention, and has gone on to establish several companies devoted to technological approaches to environmental issues.
10. Abigail Lupi

Answer: Nursing home care

In 2008, when she was 8 years old, Abigail organized a group called CareGirlz, a group of performers that entertain nursing home and hospital patients. The members of the group, who are all aged between 6 and 13, use their own time to prepare and perform.
