Answer: Goliath

Goliath is voiced by Keith David. He is the only one of the gargoyles who is named in the first episode. Goliath has very high moral standards but he has shown a short temper from time to time. During the series he grows to care for Elisa very much. Goliath was named for the Biblical giant because of his size (Goliath the gargoyle was almost 7 feet tall and weighed 400 lbs).

Elisa Maza is voiced by Salli Richardson. She is a detective for the New York Police Department. She helps the gargoyles to hide in the clock tower. We meet Elisa's mother, father, sister, and brother during the run of the series. She is usually seen wearing a red jacket and black jeans.

Owen Burnett is secretly Puck, one of Oberon's Children. As Owen, he is voiced by Jeff Bennett and as Puck by Brent Spiner. In his form as Owen he works as Xanatos's personal assistant. Later Oberon assigns him the job of training in the use of magic Alexander Xanatos, who is the grandson of Oberon's wife, Titiana.

Hudson is voiced by Edward Asner. He was the leader of the gargoyles before Goliath and still serves an important adviser. Even though he is the oldest of the gargoyles, he is still a powerful fighter. In real life, the Hudson River is an important river in New York State and New York City lies near the river's mouth.

Lexington is voiced by Thom Adcox-Hernandez. Lexington is the only one of the main gargoyles whose wings are atttached to his arms. In one early episode, he builds a motorcycle from spare parts. His mechanical skill has come in handy in other episodes. In real life, Lexington Avenue is an important street in New York City.

Bronx is voiced by Frank Welker. Though he does not talk, he seems to communicate his feelings very well to the others. As loyal as he is to his friends, he is a fierce opponent to his enemies. Because he lacks wings, when the gargoyles fly somewhere, one of the other gargoyles carries him. In real life, the Bronx is one of the five boroughs of New York City.

Answer: Xanatos

David Xanatos is voiced by Jonathan Frakes. Xanatos is originally from Maine. He has become a wealthy businessman based on various technologies. He is skilled with electronics and various forms of combat. When he had Castle Wyvern moved to the top of his office building, it broke the spell that kept the gargoyles in their stone form.

He is sometimes an ally of Demona and sometimes an adversary.

Answer: Broadway

Broadway is voiced by Bill Fagerbaake. Broadway is the official cook of the gargoyles. During the course of the show he learns how to read. He occasionally works with Alicia helping her on some of her cases. In real life, Broadway is an important street in New York City where many theaters are located.

Brooklyn is voiced by Jeff Bennett. His white hair and beak-like mouth give him a very distinct appearance. Brooklyn has a great deal of anger towards Demona because she tricked him in one episode. He is perhaps the most calculating and best planner of the gargoyles. In real life, Brooklyn is one of the five boroughs of New York City.

Demona is voiced Marina Sirtis. In the first episode of the show she was shown as Goliath's mate and second-in-command. During the second season we meet their daughter Angela. Despite working with MacBeth as he rises to power as King of Scotland, Demona has a great hatred for human beings.

She gets her name from MacBeth who calls her "Demona" because he says "You fight like a demon."
