Answer: On Family Farm

Each episode of "TEC the Tractor" begins with showing the family farm on which TEC lives; the narrative begins by establishing the location, such as, "It's springtime on family farm", or "It was a beautiful, sunny day on family farm". The series, "Tecwyn y Tractor" was filmed on a working farm in Wales, and first debuted in 1998 on S4C, a Welsh station, which broadcasts programs in the Welsh language.

In the United States the program is aired on BabyFirst, a continuous broadcast television channel for children.

Apparently red tractors are popular in the UK; both "Tractor Tom" and "Little Red Tractor" are, well, red! They were preceded, however, by the red "Tecwyn y Tractor". Originally a series of children's books, the author, Margiad Roberts, wrote for the enjoyment of her own children beginning in 1991.

In 1999, the television program won the BAFTA award for the best series in Britain for pre-school children.

The series shown in the United States has a narrator; the actors have no speaking parts. Eventually, in the episode, "Babies on the Farm", while the other animals are giving birth to piglets, puppies, ducklings, and other babies, the family adds a new brother, whose name is not given.

In many of the episodes, Tommy is attached to TEC, and they complete chores together or have an adventure. In "The Echo", TEC remembers late at night that he has forgotten to retrieve Sam the Scarecrow from the field. TEC and Tommy go out to bring back their friend as promised, and are frightened by the darkness, as well as the fact that Sam seems to be repeating exactly what they call as they search for him. As it turnes out, they learn about echoes, and that Sam has already been safely returned home.

After receiving an invitation to the tractor show on the day of the show, TEC and his family forget to actually read the contents of the letter in their haste to arrive to the show on time. TEC has a good time, vising with the other tractors! As it turns out, TEC makes his way into the ring, and is able to carry the trophies to the winners, even though he doesn't know that was exactly what he was invited to do!

When TEC travels away from home, he rides in a larger trailer that is usually pulled by the family car. By the time he makes the freezing ride to a garage, his nose and cheeks are purple. In order to help TEC make it through the winter, he is fitted with a cab to keep warm. His nose almost immediately turns back to its usual red color.

It is autumn and raining! There is mud everywhere; TEC loves to play in the mud, but it really makes quite a mess! It does, however, enable TEC to track his friends a bit more easily than usual; but a mess is a mess! After finding out that concrete is being made, TEC is eager to help! He works so hard, however, that he is tired and watching the concrete is hard work! Dozing off a bit, he hears sheep in the distance! Afraid they will walk on the concrete, he starts his engine, and drives through it himself! Not to worry - everyone makes mistakes! Incidentally, in the program, it is common for the animals and equipment to have alliterative names, such as Mike the Motorbike, Sam the Scarecrow, Benji the Bull, and Dell the Dog - although in some episodes the dog's name is Nell!

When the eggs used to feed customers at a friend's cafe are accidentally broken, TEC is sent with a box to collect more. He asks several of the animals for help - but Cathy suggests that he could find a bucketful of eggs in the pond and that the carpenter would be happy to help TEC find them! Cathy the Cockatoo thinks it was quite funny that TEC finds the wrong eggs.

Answer: The horses on the merry-go-round

TEC has a difficult time being patient with the other shopping, but he does perk up when a balloon is tied to his steering wheel! It is hard, however, for TEC to steer through the stalls and crowd. His horn is caught on some children's clothing, and he tips over a box of oranges. TEC hopes to ride the merry-go-round, but isn't sure how he could climb the stairs to get on it; he finally finds one with no stairs, and enjoys a ride.

Answer: Sweets

TEC watched while peas were planted in the vegetable garden; he learns that one pea will grow hundreds more! Knowing that his young friend loved sweets, he suggests to her that she plant some of them so they would multiply! He is a bit concerned, however, when Henry the Horse tells him that sweets are bad for his teeth, and causes them to rot. Months later TEC is relieved to discover that sweets do not multiply, and that peas, that are also sweet, are, in fact, better for those on the farm!
