Answer: Cotton candy

Cotton candy is an all sugar confection with the addition of food coloring or flavoring. It is a favorite confection in fairs, circuses and festivals and it is sold either on a stick or in a plastic bag. The sugar is heated and spun in a machine which turns it into "glass-like" threads, mostly filled with air and usually either pink or white in color.
