Answer: Enid Blyton

Enid Mary Blyton was born on 11th August 1897. The first book written by Enid Blyton featuring Noddy, 'Noddy Goes to Toyland', was published in 1949. The character Big Ears is Noddy's best friend. Enid Blyton's Noddy books, didn't escape political correctness, when the books were subject of further publication in the 1980's, Mr Golly the garage owner, became Mr Sparks. Mr Golly, a golliwog doll, with a black coloured face, was considered to be racist.

Uma Thurman, who was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress in 1994, for her portrayal of Mia Wallace in the film, 'Pulp Fiction', has always been self conscious about her appearance. She thinks that her ears and nose are too big. Otoplasty is cosmetic surgery to the ear, consisting of several methods, including pinning the ears back, or reducing the size of big ears.

The advert for Walkers Crisps, was in a classroom setting. Pupils in the class included Girls Aloud and Russell Brand, all were sporting large red plastic ears, with the exception of Gary Lineker. The teacher, played by Stephen Fry, called a class register and told Lineker to "Take off those ridiculous promotional ears". Several complaints were made about this advert.

The complaints were not upheld, the investigation concluded that the adverts would be seen by most in the spirit they were intended, for the charity, Comic Relief.

Barack Obama is well aware that his ears stick out. He stated in an interview with Maureen Dowd, that as a child, he was "teased relentlessly" about them. During another interview on 'The Tyra Banks Show', when asked who would play him in a film, his initial response was Denzel Washington.

When Denzel was asked on the 'Late Show with David Letterman', about the rumour that Barack Obama said he would be a good choice to play him in a movie, he responded by sticking his ears out with his fingers.

The long-eared jerboa, is an insect eating nocturnal rodent. It also has large back feet and hops like a kangaroo. This animal is also able to jump about a metre high. In an interview with the BBC, Dr Jonathon Baille, a scientist of the Zoological Society of London, said, ""The long-eared jerboa is a bit like the Mickey Mouse of the desert, cute and comic in equal measure."

In 2007 he stated that the food chain McDonald's should be banned, the headline in the Daily Mirror was, 'BIG EARS v BIG MAC; Charles urges ban on McDonald's'. In 2009 Prince Charles hit the headlines again, when it was revealed that he called an Asian member of Cirencester Park Polo club, Kolin Dhillon, 'Sooty'.

In an interview with the BBC, Mr. Dhillon did not think that this was at all racist. The front page of The Sun newspaper showed a photograph of Prince Charles on a polo pony, conversing with Mr. Dhillon, saying, "Hello Sooty", with Mr. Dhillon replying, "Shut it, Big Ears".

Barack Obama's initial choice was Denzel Washington, but he went on to say that perhaps it should be Will Smith, due to the ears.

Bob Hoskins has never voiced Bugs Bunny, he did however star in, 'Who Framed Roger Rabbit', released in 1988, in which Bugs Bunny makes an appearance.

Dumbo however learns to fly, is reunited with his mother and becomes the star of the show!
