Answer: Maryborough

Maryborough was officially proclaimed a port in 1859, and is 30km upstream from the mouth of the Mary River, where the town of River Heads sits. Maryborough was first settled in 1842 and is a subtropical city just over 30km south of Hervey Bay with some magnificently renovated old 'Queenslanders' - a typical Queensland house!
