It runs north-south and bisects Unter den Linden. Potsdamer Platz is a place near Unter den Linden that was built after the Berlin Wall came down.

Mont Saint-Michel is located off Normandy, France and is only accessible via the tidal causeway. Once on the island you are greeted with a medieval walled city. Within the city is a Benedictine monastery and abbey, castle, shops and housing.

Meteora, located in central Greece, is a natural range of pillars made from sandstone formed over millions of years by a combination of erosion, wind, water, temperature and earth movement.

On top of the pillars monasteries were built around the ninth century, which was a feat in itself as the terrain is very difficult to access. Stone steps were cut into the pillars in the 1920s to gain easier access to the site.

Krakow is Poland's second largest city. It was the capital from 1038 to 1569. Krakow's Old Town, Wawel Castle and Kazimierz were listed as a UNESCO Heritage Site in 1978. Also in the same year, Karol Wojtyla, Archbishop of Krakow, was elected as Pope. He was the first non-Italian pope in 455 years and the first ever Slavic Pope.
