The state of Western Australia borders the Indian Ocean to the west and north and the Antarctic Ocean to the south. Perth is the capital of Western Australia. The region is rich in minerals such as iron ore, as well as petroleum.

Mount Meharry is located in the Hamersley Range in the Karijini National Park. It is a little over 1200 metres in height.

Mount Woodroffe is the highest mountain in the state of South Australia. Mount Kosciuszko is the highest mountain in New South Wales. Mount Bartle Frere is the highest mountain in Queensland.
