In Australia we find three tiers of government: the federal government, the state government and the local government. The local government is known as a local government area or LGA. One of those areas in New South Wales is the City of Lake Macquarie. Part of this LGA is the suburb of Valentine. The suburb is located on the eastern shore of Lake Macquarie.

2. For their second destination, our couple goes to a province called Bohol. Here they can visit the Chocolate Hills, a formation of limestone hills. In what Asian island nation do our lovebirds find this unusual location?

The Chocolate Hills can be found in the province of Bohol, The Philippines. This is a formation of limestone hills. During the dry season, the grass on the hills turns brown and makes the hills look like a long row of "chocolate kisses". This is a type of chocolate candy, manufactured by the company Hershey. The hills are featured on the flag of the province of Bohol.

The province of Bohol consists of Bohol Island and 75 other smaller islands. The province is in the central region of The Philippines. The region is a popular tourist destination, because of the many beaches and resorts.

3. For the third part of their journey, Miwako and Rentaro travel to a city called Kaohsiung. The river flowing through the city is called the Love River. As they sit by the banks of the river, they see tourist attractions like the Holy Rosary Cathedral and the Kaohsiung Bridge. On which Asian island do Miwako and Rentaro find the Love River?

Taiwan is also known as part of the Republic of China. It is considered a separate state, although this is disputed by the People's Republic of China. China considers the government of Taiwan as illegitimate.

The Love River plays an important part in the city. The river originates in the city's Renwu District and flows for 12 kilometres to the harbour. The city of Kolkata is the capital of the Indian state of West Bengal. The former name of this city is Calcutta. Until 1911 it was the capital of India. It is considered to be the third largest metropolitan area in India, after Mumbai and Delhi.

The town of Diamond Harbour can be found in the southern suburbs of Kolkata. It is on the banks of the Hooghly river. It is also near the Bay of Bengal, which opens opportunities for shipping. Diamond Harbour used to be a place where Portuguese pirates had built a fort, although some claim that the fort was already there before the pirates arrived.

5. The fifth part of the trip takes Miwako and Rentaro to Europe. In Ireland they visit a region known as Ring. It is part of one of the 26 traditional Irish counties. This particular county is named after a city in that county, famous for its crystal. What is the name of this county?

Answer: Waterford

The region of Ring can be found in the county of Waterford. The county is a part of the province of Munster. The county is named after the city of Waterford, which is on the eastern side of the Republic of Ireland. It is known for its crystal. Since 2009 the factory in Waterford was shut down however. The Waterford Crystal is still being produced at other locations.

The region of Ring is considered to be a Gaeltacht region, a region where Irish is the predominant language. In Irish the region is known as An Rinn. You can find the region in the western part of the county of Waterford, near Dungarvan.

6. For their sixth location our couple travels out to Italy, to the province of Cosenza. Here they find a town and comune (Italian township) called Rose. It is found in a region that forms the southern part of the Italian mainland. Its capital is Catanzaro. In what region of Italy are Miwako and Rentaro?

Answer: Calabria

The Italian region of Calabria forms the southern part of the Italian mainland, south of the city of Naples. It is a mainly mountainous region, containing three different mountain ranges called Pollino, La Sila and Aspromonte. The capital of this region is the city of Catanzaro, which is located on the eastern side, on the Ionian Sea.

Not much is known in particular about this town and comune. A comune is an administrative division in Italy, which would resemble a township or municipality. It forms part of the province Cosenza. This province with its capital in the city of Cosenza forms the northern part of the Calabria region.

7. For the seventh part of their journey our Japanese friends find themselves in Argentina. They stay at a wonderful hotel in the town of Bouquet, part of the Belgrano Department. That department forms part of a province which contains cities such as Rosario and Rafaela. It has the same name as the capital. In what province with a somewhat seasonal name is our couple?

Answer: Santa Fe

The town of Bouquet is a town that is part of the Belgrano Department. A department is a subdivision of a province. This department is in the southwest of the province of Santa Fe. Its head town is Las Rosas.

The capital of the province Santa Fe is the city of Santa Fe. We find the city of Bouquet about 191 km from Santa Fe. The town is considered to be named after former senator Carlos Maria Bouquet, who used to own land in the area.

8. Location number eight for our lovely couple is to be found in the United States. They find themselves near Heart Lake. This lake is at the base of Mount Sheridan and forms part of a famous park, which also contains Old Faithful Geyser. In which park do we find Heart Lake?

Answer: Yellowstone (Wyoming)

Heart Lake is in the state of Wyoming and forms part of the Yellowstone National Park. The park also covers parts of the states of Montana. One of the best known features of the park is Old Faithful Geyser, which forms part of the Old Faithful Historic District in the park. It was the first geyser in the park to be given a name.

The name of Heart Lake was supposedly derived from the name of a hunter called Hart Hunney. It was thought, however, the name of the lake came from its shape and so that is what the official name became in 1871. There were attempts to change the name to Hart Lake, as originally intended, but they failed.

9. For part nine of their honeymoon Miwako and Rentaro decide to remain in the United States. They do move to another state though and locate the village of Romeo, which is in Macomb County. The state they are in has the city of Lansing as its capital and Detroit as its largest city. Which state has the village of Romeo?

Answer: Michigan

The village of Romeo can be found in the state of Michigan. You can also find a village by that name in the state of Colorado. Michigan can be found in the northeast of the United States. The name of the state is derived from the word Mishigama in the Ojibwe language, meaning "large water" or "large lake". The state is found in the Great Lakes region, bordering four of the Great Lakes.

Romeo is part of Macomb County, which itself is part of the Detroit metropolitan area. The Detroit Auto Vehicle Company was housed in Romeo between the years of 1904 and 1908. Every year the village hosts a Peach Festival on Labor Day.

10. Miwako and Rentaro finish their romantic trip in Canada. Here they visit the town of Cupids. This town is on Conception Bay, a bay which is found on the northeast side of the Canadian island of Newfoundland. The name of the province they are in also holds the name Newfoundland, but combines it with the name of a dog breed. What word completes the name of the Canadian province?

The town of Cupids can be found in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador. This province is in the northeast of Canada near the Atlantic coast. The province consists of two parts, the island of Newfoundland and the mainland part of Labrador. The capital of the province is the city of St. John's. The province is a former English colony.

Cupids is rather a small town. The region did receive a visit by Prince Charles and Camilla Parker-Bowles in November 2009. Cupids was founded by a merchant called John Guy in 1610. It was originally called Cuper's Cove.
