La Paz is not only the highest capital in South America, but in the world. Yes like you I would have thought it would have been somewhere in the Himalayas but it is not. La Paz is located in the Andes Mountains in Bolivia.

Answer: Angel Falls

Angel Falls in Venezuela is the highest uninterrupted waterfall in the world. Situated in an UNESCO World Heritage, Canaima National Park, Angel Falls is a truly magnificent natural beauty of the world.
3. What is this active stratovolcano in the Andes Mountains?

Answer: Cotopaxi

Located in Ecuador, Cotopaxi is an active stratovolcano. A stratovolcano means that it has gained its height from built up lava and ash.
4. This waterfall's claim to fame is that it is the world's largest single drop waterfall by the volume of water flowing over it. What waterfalls is it?

Answer: Kaieteur Falls

Located on the Potaro River in Guyana, Kaieteur Falls is the world's largest single drop waterfall by its volume. Because of its volume Kaieteur Falls is considered the most powerful waterfall in the world. To give you a sense of size Kaieteur is four times the height of Niagara Falls.

Aconcagua is the highest mountain outside Asia. Being part of the Aconcagua Provincial Park it appears to have an outstanding geographical presence. The mountain also features an array of glaciers.

Cocora Valley is located in Colombia and part of the Andean mountains. Cocora Valley is named after a Quimbayan princess and the name means star of water. Answer: Copacabana

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, is known for its beaches. Copacabana Beach is well-known for its New Year's Eve celebrations and millions go there to take it in. Not only is New Year's Eve a part of this place but it is now the official venue of the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup.

Answer: Lake Titicaca

A beautiful lake that most say is more beautiful from the Bolivia side. But obviously everything that is said about an opinion is a matter of taste. Lake Titicaca is a very large, deep, freshwater lake in the Andes known as the highest navigable lake in the world.

The Amazon River starts in Peru, then travels through Ecuador, Colombia and Venezuela and lastly Brazil where it flows into the Atlantic Ocean. Interestingly enough the Amazon River is the largest (though still in arguments not the longest) river in the world it has not one bridge that transverses it.
