Cumbria is host to the city of Carisle as well as the beautiful Lake District. Tourism is its main industry. There is a pencil factory within the county as well.

Despite the fact that Lancaster gives the county its name. Preston is where the county is mainly run from and is home to County Hall.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints,(known as the Mormons) was set up in Utah, USA and based itself on an expansion of Christianity. Its founder, Joseph Smith was said to be a prophet who talked to God.

Radio Whitsundale has never existed. Wish FM is a pop music station in Wigan, whilst Rock FM is a pop music station in Preston. Chorley FM is a new creation as it recently went on air to cover the town's summer festival. It has been offered the chance to become a permanent station.

An out of town night club called The Park Night Club is also in Charnock Richard. The park closed for business in late 2012.

David Beckham (a soccer player) is married to Victoria Adams who was a member of the British pop group The Spice Girls. The town of Preston can be said to be a good omen for the couples as both of them found that their careers were launched after they visited the town . David played for Preston's football team whilst on loan from Manchester United before he became a big name. Within a year of returning back to United he became a regular in the first team. Victoria and The Spice Girls were part of a free gig during Preston's 1996 Summer Festival.

They released their first single 'Wannabe' a few days after their gig in Preston and were number one in the singles charts a week later.

Bretton Hall is actually a Drama school in Yorkshire. Lancashire College is a small college for adult students, whilst both Runshaw and Cardinal Newman offer courses for sixth formers. The latter has a strong Catholic basis.

Blackpool is famous for its tower, mucky beaches and one of the world's largest roller coasters. The airport can trace its history back to 1909 and was one of the first airports in the UK.
