The first Boston Tea Party happened on December 16, 1773. The people of Boston performed this act again on March 7, 1774. The two 'Tea Parties' put together cost Britain about $3 million in today's money.

The idea had been under discussion for some months and he was not the sole contributor to the Declaration.
3. Who defended the British soldiers at the murder trial arising from the Boston Massacre?

Answer: John Adams

Captain Thomas Preston and some other British soldiers were being hit with an assorted amount of objects thrown by the people of Boston. After having enough of this, the British fired and the 'Boston Massacre' was over with. Captain Thomas Preston and eight other soldiers were charged with murder. John Adams and Joshua Quincey came to their aid and all but two were acquitted.
4. Did you know that the first submarine attack took place in New York Harbor in 1776? Name the submarine that attacked the HMS Eagle in New York Harbor.

Answer: Turtle

On September 6, 1776, the Turtle targeted the HMS Eagle, flagship of the British fleet. The Americans were supposed to sneak a cask of gunpowder on the Eagle, then sneak away before it exploded. This didn't happen though because the Turtle got entangled with the Eagle's rudder and the Americans surfaced before the gunpowder could be planted.
