1. A French detective and an almost flawless diamond. (1963)

Answer: The Pink Panther

This film is a comedy starring Peter Sellers, David Niven, Robert Wagner and Claudia Cardinale, No doubt it is a very funny film but it seems (to me anyway) rather unexpected for it to be regarded as "culturally, historically, and aesthetically significant" and therefore preserved in the Library of Congress in 2010 (which it has been).
