Every child should be introduced to this film, as it helped usher in the modern era of the comedy and action films in Hollywood. 'City Lights' is one of many classics directed by and starring Charlie Chaplin. Along with Buster Keaton, Chaplin was the master of the silent comedy film. 'The Red Shoes' was a revolutionary moment for the musical film genre. What more needs to be said than 'Danny Kaye'. Danny Kaye stars in 'The Court Jester' as Hubert Hawkins, aka 'Giacomo, King of Jesters and Jester of the King'. His split personality antics, charming song and dance and sensitive acting help propel this film into the stratosphere of movie musicals.
