Ron is played by English actor Rupert Alexander Lloyd Grint (born August 24,1988 in Harlow, Essex). To land his first professional role as Ronald Weasley, Grint sent in a rap video as an audition. We have watched Ron grow from a boy who was uncomfortable in his own skin in "Harry Potter and the Philospher's Stone", to a young man who shows true Gryffindor bravery as he becomes sure of himself in "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1".

At the beginning of the movie, Ron battles feelings of jealousy and feelings of not belonging.

After leaving the campsite in anger over his feelings, Ron rejoins Harry and Hermione because he realizes his place is with them.

Bill Nighy is not a student in the movie. He plays Rufus Scrimgeour, the Minister for Magic. While Rufus wants to do what is right for the wizarding world, his forceful tactics prevent others from trusting him. Nighy is an English actor and comedian who has been acting since 1975. He has had many roles in theatre, television and film including being the voice of Samwise Gamgee for a radio production of Tolkien's "Lord of the Rings". He was born in Cataram, Surrey in 1949.

While Harry, Ron, Hermione and Draco are not in school, they are still Hogwarts' students. Several of the other students are on the Hogwarts Express heading to school, including Neville Longbottom.

Answer: Elphias Doge

In the movie Auntie Muriel refers to the wizard Harry is talking to as 'Elphias', while pointing out that Harry knows very little about who Albus Dumbledore really was. Elphias Doge is a wizard who was one of Dumbledore's close friends and is played by English actor David Ryall. Ryall was born January 5, 1935.

He has been active in television, theatre and film since 1967 when he played Sextus in a television version of William Shakespeare's "Much Ado About Nothing".

Answer: Severus Snape

English actor and theatrical director Alan Rickman portrays Severus Snape. When Snape enters the Death Eaters' meeting in the movie, there is no doubt he is working with Voldemort. He seems to be equally indifferent about which side he supports. However, there are rare moments when his humanity shows as it does when he silently struggles to contain himself as he watches Charity Burbage die. Rickman was born in Hammersmith, London on February 21, 1946.

After graduating from art college, he chose to return to school to pursue a degree in drama. Had Alan Rickman decided not to try his hand at acting, the world may have been deprived of an award winning actor and his memorable perfomances as the complex Severus Snape.

Answer: Toby Jones

Toby Jones is the English actor who is the voice for Dobby the Free elf. Not only does Dobby help Kreacher bring Mundungus Fletcher back to Grimmauld Place so Harry and his friends can locate the Slytherin locket, but he also rescues Luna, Griphook, Mr. Ollivander, Ron, Hermione and Harry from Malfoy Manor. Sadly Dobby's life comes to an end in this movie, thanks to Bellatrix Lestrange.

In addition to providing the voice for Dobby in the "Harry Potter" film series, Toby also played Smee alongside actor Johnny Depp in "Finding Neverland" and won an ALFS British Actor of the Year Award for his portrayal of author Truman Capote in "Infamous". Jones was born September 7, 1966.

Answer: Helena Bonham Carter

Helena Bonham Carter says this after the snatchers deliver Harry, Ron and Hermione to Malfoy Manor, once the stinging curse fades and Harry's face returns to normal. Because she portrays dark characters so well, the role of Bellatrix Lestrange is ideal for her. Bonham Carter was born May 26, 1966 in Golders Green, London.

In addition to playing the diabolical Bellatrix Lestrange, she also provides the voice for the evil Red Queen in "Alice in Wonderland" and as the deadly Mrs. Lovett in "Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street".

Answer: Daniel Hill

Daniel Hill is a veteran actor who plays Harvey Baines in the British comedy "Waiting For God". Hill is one of the on-lookers in the Ministry of Magic who shouts, "It's Harry Potter!" just as Harry, Ron and Hermione exit an elevator. His name appears in the credits of the movie as the "Bushy Haired Muttering Wizard".

Answer: Emma Watson

Hermione Granger is not fashionable in the movie, as she spends most of her time roughing it with Harry Potter and Ronald Weasley. While staying one step ahead of danger and dealing with a myriad of emotions (including problems with Ron and missing her parents), Hermione has no time to be stylish.

However, her counterpart Emma Watson does. In addition to acting, Emma is also a model and spokesperson for a clothing line called People Tree.

David Thewlis (birthname David Wheeler) is an English actor and writer. He was born in Blackpool, Lancashire. His acting career was catapulted by his having the starring role in the award winning film "Naked". In "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1", Thewlis plays the role of Remus Lupin and is married to Nymphadora Tonks.

Despite Lupin being a werewolf, Tonks is very affectionate with him in the movie. Both Lupin and Tonks understand what it is like to be someone (or something) other than yourself because Tonks is a Metamorphmagus. Metamorphmagi are witches and wizards who can readily change their appearance.

Answer: Evanna Lynch

Evanna Lynch plays Luna Lovegood, a character many people would consider weird because she is very eccentric. Her manners are often awkward, yet loving and composed despite the chaos around her. In "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1", Luna manages to remain calm while locked away in the cells below Malfoy Manor.

When Dobby dies, Luna discreetly closes his eyes 'as if he were sleeping'. Evanna was born in Termonfeckin, Leinster in Ireland. She often wrote to J.K. Rowling and once she even expressed her interest in playing a character in "Harry Potter".

She beat out over 15,000 girls who auditioned to win the role of Luna Lovegood.
