This would be a reference, if it had actually happened. There was no hanging rosary. In the end of the movie, we see Beatrix thanking God in the bathroom. When Beatrix is trying to regain her muscle strength again, she says that these are the times in which not only does she realize that God exists, but that it is His will to kill these people (even though that is somewhat of a contridiction seeing that God is not vengeful). And when Hattori Hanzo is giving Beatrix the sword, he says that even God could be cut by this great sword.
