"Gangs of New York" is a 2002 film starring Leonardo DiCaprio as Amsterdam Vallon. Amsterdam's father, Priest Vallon (Liam Neeson), was killed by Protestants. Years later, Amsterdam is out for revenge and has his sights on the man who killed his father, Bill "the Butcher" (Daniel Day Lewis).

"Blood Diamond" is a 2006 film starring Leonardo DiCaprio as Danny Archer and Djimon Hounsou as Solomon Vandy. Solomon was a fisherman in Sierra Leone until he was enslaved and forced to mine diamonds. He finds a particularly valuable one but buries it to hide it from his captors. He is sent to prison where he meets Danny, a diamond smuggler. Danny and Solomon free themselves from prison and try to retrieve the diamond. However, several other people are also after the diamond.

DiCaprio was nominated for Best Actor at the 79th Academy Awards for his role in this film but lost to Forest Whitaker for "The Last King of Scotland".

"Titanic" is an immensely successful 1997 film starring DiCaprio as Jack Dawson and Kate Winslet as Rose. Rose is a young lady from a wealthy family while Jack is a struggling artist. They fall in love despite Rose being engaged to Cal Hockley (Billy Zane). Jack shows Rose an adventurously good time aboard the ship but this draws the ire of Cal who frames Jack as a thief. And then the Titanic hits and iceberg send the ship into chaos and revealing people's true colors.

"The Revenant" is a 2015 film starring Leonardo DiCaprio as Hugh Glass, a fur trader. Glass and a group of fellow trappers are attacked by Arikara Indians. The group of survivors make their way to safe territory but during the journey, Glass is mauled by a bear and left behind. Though severely injured, Glass travels through the frozen wilderness to survive.

Leonardo DiCaprio won the Best Actor Oscar in 2016 for his role in this film.

"Revolutionary Road" is a 2008 film that reunited Leonardo DiCaprio with his "Titanic" costar Kate Winselt. They play Frank and April Wheeler, a married couple. They decide to move from Connecticut to Paris to add some excitement into their life but they put that on hold. The tension between Frank and April increases when she becomes pregnant for a second time.

"Django Unchained" is a 2012 film starring Jamie Foxx as Django, a slave. Django is freed after he helps Dr. Schultz (Christoph Waltz) track down the Brittle Brothers. Afterward, Django and Schultz team up as bounty hunters. Schultz promises to reunite Django with his wife Broomhilda (Kerry Washington) whom he was separated from during a slave auction.

"Inception" is a 2010 science fiction/action film starring Leonardo DiCaprio as Dom Cobb. Dom is a thief who is able to infiltrate his victims' subconscious. Dom, along with Arthur (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), are asked by a businessman named Saito (Ken Watanabe) to plant an inception in the mind of Robert Fisher (Cillian Murphy), a businessman. An inception is the concept of planting an idea in someone as they dream.

In this case, Saito wants Cobb to convince Fisher to dissolve his father's company as it is a major competitor of Saito's.
