Peter Falk was probably the perfect person for this part. He had a great voice, and he actually looked like he could be Fred Savage's grandfather.

The Battle of Wits was quite possibly the funniest scene in the movie. Vizzini and Westley fought to the death using only their intellect. Vizzini lost, but Westley cheated. He poisoned both wine glasses with Iocane powder, but he survived because he was immune to the Iocane.

Miracle Max was a great character. He had been fired by Prince Humperdinck from his job as the miracle worker. He wanted to get back at the Prince, and reviving Westley from being "mostly dead" gave him that opportunity.
