Joaquin has a red tattoo on his left arm in this film. It is mainly visible when Joaquin is lying in the bed in the motel, and when he is wearing the grey sleeveless t-shirt.

This sequence actually takes place in Germania. Joaquin's character, Commodus, the son of the Emperor, is keen to bring his fighting skills up to the standard of Maximus', Russell Crowe's character. He also wants to impress his father, the Emperor. This is why he puts so much effort into his practice.

This film is set in an Amertican army camp in Germany, in 1989. In it Joaquin's character is a soldier taking advantage of military goods, such as morphine (which he uses to make heroin in mass amounts), to make him some extra cash. This is one of my favourite Joaquin films!

Answer: France

In this film Joaquin plays the Abbe, who runs the Insane Asylum at Charenton. The film is based on a play and tells the story of the infamous "Adult" novelist, the Marquis De Sade, and his stay in the Asylum.
