Question 1 of 10
1. We'll start off with this three-piece brother band who are mostly famous for their disco tunes in the '70s, particularly for the "Saturday Night Fever" soundtrack. Oh, let's make it short: it's the Bee Gees, of course.

I will just ask you - what is the family name of these guys?
Hint

Question 3 of 10
3. For the next question, we're staying in the US, but we're going back to the '80s. Two pairs of brothers, namely the Mothersbaughs and the Casales, were the pillars of the classic lineup of this funny band, who used to dress in weird sci-fi costumes and told us to "Whip it into shape". Hint

Question 4 of 10
4. The most famous heavy metal band from Brazil, Sepultura, was founded by the Cavalera brothers. Max took the vocal duties, and his brother, whose name sounds more Russian than Brazilian, was the drummer. What is his name? Hint

Question 5 of 10
5. Three of the following rock bands have or had a pair of siblings playing guitar and bass. Pick the odd one out. Hint

Question 6 of 10

Question 7 of 10
7. The next band in our list is known for songs like "Love's A Game" and "Love Me Like You", and consists of two pairs of brothers and sisters: Michele Stodart, Romeo Stodart, Angela Gannon, and Sean Gannon.
What is this band's name? Just do the maths, no tricks at all.
Hint

Question 8 of 10
8. This band was formed in Michigan in 2012, and their debut LP, "Anthem of the Peaceful Army", came out in 2018. Formed by the three brothers Kiszka, and Danny Wagner on drums, their sound has been compared to Led Zeppelin's at times. What's the name of this young band? Hint

Question 9 of 10
9. The following bands had a pair of siblings in their lineups. Name the one in which neither of the siblings was the singer of the band. Hint

Question 10 of 10
10. So far we've mentioned pairs of siblings, occasionally trios, and there are some other acts that include four or more. This one, though, seems to set a record. Nine siblings have played in this R&B group during its career (with as most as eight of them at the same time), which spanned almost 15 years (from 1971 to 1985) The band, quite fittingly, ended up being named after the family. Known as "The Little Angels" in their early formations, what was their family name? Hint

Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. We'll start off with this three-piece brother band who are mostly famous for their disco tunes in the '70s, particularly for the "Saturday Night Fever" soundtrack. Oh, let's make it short: it's the Bee Gees, of course. I will just ask you - what is the family name of these guys?

Answer: Gibb

Contrary to what most people believe, the name "Bee Gees" does NOT stand for "Brothers Gibb". In their early years, they performed in Australia supported by two other friends named Bill Goode and Bill Gates (no, not the Microsoft one). As their initials matched Barry Gibb's, Gates decided to call them "The BGs".
2. This American hard-rock band was founded by the Loeffler brothers in the mid nineties. They are named after a famous classic car model. Who are they?

Answer: Chevelle

Chevelle hit the mainstream scene with the release of their second album, "Wonder What's Next", in 2002. After another release, one of the brothers left the band, and was replaced by their brother in law. They still keep this lineup to this day.
3. For the next question, we're staying in the US, but we're going back to the '80s. Two pairs of brothers, namely the Mothersbaughs and the Casales, were the pillars of the classic lineup of this funny band, who used to dress in weird sci-fi costumes and told us to "Whip it into shape".

Answer: Devo

They went through many lineup changes, but the most famous one consisted of Mark and Bob Mothersbaughs, Gerald and Bob Casale, and Alan Myers. "Whip It" is their most known song.

The band still performs today, though Bob Casale and Alan Myers have passed away.
4. The most famous heavy metal band from Brazil, Sepultura, was founded by the Cavalera brothers. Max took the vocal duties, and his brother, whose name sounds more Russian than Brazilian, was the drummer. What is his name?

Answer: Igor

Both of the brothers have since departed Sepultura. Max left in 1996, and went on to form Soulfly. Igor left in 2006. They have a side project together, called Cavalera Conspiracy.
5. Three of the following rock bands have or had a pair of siblings playing guitar and bass. Pick the odd one out.

Answer: Pantera

The Cranberries: Noel (guitar) and Mike Hogan (bass)
Radiohead: Jonny (guitar) and Colin Greenwood (bass)
Stone Temple Pilots: Dean (guitar) and Robert DeLeo (bass)
Pantera had the Abbott brothers, "Dimebag" Darrell in guitar and Vinnie Paul, who played drums.
6. Surely one of the most conflictive pair of siblings, the Gallaghers fronted which famous British rock band?

Answer: Oasis

It's hard to overlook Oasis, not only for their music, but also for the frequent quarreling between Noel and Liam, that ultimately led to the band's breakup.

Even though they had a really tense relationship, the Gallaghers were the only stable members of the band, as in, they were the only ones that remained in the band's lineup for its whole history.

Answer: The Magic Numbers

The Magic Numbers have released five LPs to date, though they are mostly known for the first two, which include, among others, the songs mentioned in the question.

One of its members, Michele, has also recorded two albums on her own.

Answer: Greta Van Fleet

They named the band after a resident of their hometown (though she is actually called "Gretna", not "Greta"), who later gave them her blessing.

Prior to their first LP, they also released two EPs in 2017, "Black Smoke Rising", and "From The Fires".
9. The following bands had a pair of siblings in their lineups. Name the one in which neither of the siblings was the singer of the band.

Answer: AC/DC

AC/DC had Angus and Malcolm Young, both guitarists.
CCR: Fogerty brothers, with John being the lead singer.
Dire Straits: Knopfler brothers, with Mark being the lead singer.
The Black Crowes: Robinson brothers, with Chris being the lead singer.

Answer: Sylvers

They were a very successful group during the '70s. The family consisted of ten siblings: Olympia, Leon, Charmaine, James, Edmund, Ricky, Angie, Pat, Foster, and Christopher, who was the only one that didn't perform with the rest, due to his untimely death from hepatitis at only 18 years of age.
