"Magic Woman Touch" hit number 60 in 1973. The Hollies original lineup was led by Allan Clarke and included Tony Hicks, Graham Nash (Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young), Eric Haydock and Don Rathbone. They hailed from Manchester, England.

Answer: The Searchers

"Have You Ever Loved Somebody" reached number 94 on the U.S. charts in 1966. The original members of this original British invasion group were Mike Pender, John McNally, Tony Jackson and Chris Curtis. Their biggest hit was 1964's "Love Potion Number Nine", a cover of The Clover's 1959 hit. Their 1964 introduction to the U.S. was "Needles and Pins", written by Sonny Bono!

Reaching the charts in December of 1968, "Electric Stories" peaked at number 61 on the Billboard charts. It was their follow-up to "Will You Love Me Tomorrow", written by Carole King and originally a hit for The Shirelles. The Four Seasons formed in 1955 in Newark, New Jersey.
4. Which group had a top 40 hit with "Trains And Boats And Planes"?

Answer: Billy J. Kramer and the Dakotas

"Trains And Boats And Planes" was written by Hal David and Burt Bacharach and preceded the 1966 hit by Dionne Warwick by one year. Billy J. Kramer was discovered by The Beatles manager, Brian Epstein, and teamed him up with the already formed Dakotas.

"Loving You Is Sweeter Than Ever" peaked at number 45 in 1966. It was released between "Shake Me, Wake Me (When It's Over)" and The Four Tops biggest hit "Reach Out I'll Be There". The group formed in 1954 as The Four Aims in Detroit. Levi Stubbs, their recently deceased lead singer, was the voice of Audrey II in the flick "The Little Shop Of Horrors".

Hailing from Brooklyn, New York, the Tokens formed at Abraham Lincoln High School as The Linc-Tones. One of their original members was none other than Neil Sedaka! However, he left The Tokens to concentrate on his solo career three years before they had their only number one hit "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" in 1961. "He's In Town" peaked at number 43 in 1964.
7. Which rock and roll legend had a smash hit with "Run Rudolph Run"?

Answer: Chuck Berry

"Run Rudolph Run", a Christmas song about Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer by Chuck Berry, only hit number 69 in 1958. Today, it has become a seasonal staple on radio stations across the U.S. Oddly enough, the Rock And Roll Hall Of Famer, had only one song to top the U.S. charts, "My Ding-A-Ling" (a novelty song) in 1972.
8. Which group had a hit with "Tell All The People" in the late 60's?

Answer: The Doors

Featured on The Doors album "The Soft Parade", "Tell All The People" peaked at number 57 on the Billboard charts in 1969. The Los Angeles based group consisted of lead singer Jim Morrison, keyboardist Ray Manzarek, Robby Krieger on guitar and drummer John Densmore. Morrison passed away on July 3, 1971 in Paris and is buried there.
9. Who had a minor hit with "Roll Over Beethoven"?

Answer: The Beatles

The Beatles' "Roll Over Beethoven" reached number 68 on the U.S. charts in 1964. It was their follow-up to "All My Loving" which, ironically, didn't crack the top 40 either settling at number 45. Chuck Berry's original 1956 version, peaked at number 29
10. Finally, one for the guy singers. Who had a 1967 hit with "Hung Up In Your Eyes"?

Answer: Brian Hyland

Brian Hyland, from the borough of Queens in New York City, had only one number 1 hit, "Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polka Dot Bikini" which hit the top in 1960. His other top 10 hits were "Sealed With A Kiss" (1962) and "Gypsy Woman" (1970). "Hung Up In Your Eyes" peaked at number 58.
