For the song "Billion Dollar Babies", the second vocal was none other than Donovan! He was recording in the same studio as Alice Cooper and was asked if he could do backing vocals for the song.
2. Ricky Medlocke briefly played drums for Lynyrd Skynyrd. After leaving, what band did he play lead guitar and do lead vocals for?

Answer: Blackfoot

Medlocke went on to a mildly successful career in the late 70s and early 80s with Blackfoot and ironically went back with Lynyrd Skynyrd as a guitarist.
3. Before striking out on his own, what classic rock band was guitarist Ronnie Montrose with?

Answer: Edgar Winter Group

Ronnie played guitar on the Edgar Winter Group album "They Only Come Out At Night", which featured "Frankenstein" as well as "Free Ride" and "We All Had A Real Good Time".

A supergroup of sorts, U.K. consisted of John Wetton from King Crimson on bass and vocals--Allan Holdsworth from Soft Machine on guitar--Eddie Jobson from Roxy Music on keyboards and Bill Bruford from Yes on drums. Jobson would later go on to Jethro Tull while Terry Bozzio replaced Bill Bruford when he left the band.

One of the more successful glam rock bands, Slade also had another song that Quiet Riot would cover-"Mama Weer All Crazee Now" in 1984. As a side note Mama's Boys also did a version of "Mama Weer All Crazee Now" that same year.

Before he became a "guitar god", Robin Trower played with Procol Harum for six albums between 1966 and 1971. He would also play in a band called "Jude" with Frankie Miller, James Dewar and Clive Bunker before going solo, but this band would never record.

A jazz/fusion group, Brand X had Phil Collins in their ranks from 1976 until 1982, although Phil would not play on every song.

From the 1977 album "Spectres" which also featured the classic "Godzilla". That same album had Blue Oyster Cult (B.O.C.) doing a cover of The Ronettes "Be My Baby"!

Bassist Gene Cornish and drummer Dino Danelli of the The Rascals, teamed up with The Raspberries former guitarist Wally Bryson to form Fotomaker in the late 70s. Joining them would be Lex Marchesi on vocals and guitar and Frank Vinci on the keyboards.
