Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. From which song came the lines: "All life is future to past Every breath leaves me one less to my last"?

Answer: Pull Me Under

This was the first track from the sublime 1992 album "Images And Words". The other songs also feature on that album.
2. What song did these lyrics feature on: "I've got this feeling The tide is turning now baby Funny feeling everything's gonna be alright now"?

Answer: New Millenium

This is from the 1997 album "Falling Into Infinity", which is probably Dream Theater's most overlooked album. I recommend it, though.
3. From which "Octavarium" track do these lines appear: "Life is short, so learn from your mistakes And stand behind, the choices that you make"?

Answer: The Answer Lies Within

"Octavarium" was released in 2005. It features the 24-minute-long opus "Octavarium", and the album was supposed to be a homage to the constant variation from over the previous eight Dream Theater releases. (Hence the name 'Octavarium'). If you pay close attention to the music, you can notice little snippets from a lot of their past work. It makes for a very interesting CD.
4. From which 9/11 tribute came these lyrics: "Who would wish this on our people And proclaim that His will be done"?

Answer: Sacrificed Sons

This one is a given. The rest are instrumental tracks.

'Sacrificed Sons' is a very emotive song for anyone touched by 9/11.
5. In which song can you find these words: "How can this be? Why is he the chosen one? Saint gone astray, with a scepter and a gun"?

Answer: In The Name Of God

Arguably their heaviest album to date - all these tracks feature on the 2003 album "Train Of Thought". In my opinion they are some of the best songs when performed live.
6. Which song has these lyrics: "Playing a lion being led to a cage I turn from a thief to a beggar From a god to God save me"?

Answer: Misunderstood

"Six Degrees Of Inner Turbulence" contains two CDs - the second of which has a magnificent 42-minute long opus. My favourite Dream Theater release to date.
7. In which 'Scene From A Memory' do these lines come from: "In her eyes I sense a story never told Behind the disguise There`s something tearing at her soul"?

Answer: Strange Déjà Vu

"Scenes From A Memory" is an interesting album, in two ways. Firstly, it is one of the best concept albums I have ever heard. Secondly, it is the sequel to a track featured on "Images And Words", entitled "Metropolis". Unsurprisingly, "Scenes Fron A Memory is lesser known as "Metropolis Part II - Scenes From A Memory".
8. On which song from the "Awake" album can you hear this line: "Does this voice the wounds of your soul?"?

Answer: Caught In A Web

"Awake" was an interesting CD because it contained many sound clips from movies and TV, for example "A Room With A View", "Falling In Love", and "6:00" has samples from "The Dead" ("I know all about the honor of God, Mary Jane").
9. From which track come these lyrics: "I can see What trust and loyalty have done for me Falling miles from the mark With a thirst for revenge and a dangerous heart"?

Answer: Light Fuse And Get Away

"When Dream And Day Unite" was Dream Theater's first full length release. It has been somewhat overlooked, unfairly in my opinion. Check it out, if you haven't already.
10. The title track from "A Change Of Seasons" was another 20+ minute masterpiece, that was arranged into seven different movements. Can you tell me the name of the particular movement of the song that these lyrics are from: "Oh come let us adore him Abuse and then ignore him"?

Answer: Another World

"A Change Of Seasons" had only five tracks on it, but was nevertheless the best part of an hour long.
