Answer: Days

Before becoming the Kinks they started off as the Ravens. The original line-up of the Kinks were Ray Davies (guitar, lead vocals), Dave Davies (lead guitar, vocals), Pete Quaife (bass guitar), and Mick Avory (drums).

This song was from the 1981 album "Give the people what they want". The album reached number 15 in the US but failed to chart in the UK.

Lead singer Ray Davies was romantically linked with the Pretenders Chrissie Hynde. Though never married they had a daughter together.

Original bassist Pete Quaife was injured in a car accident in June of 1966. He was replaced by John Dalton. Quaife would return in November of 1966 only to leave again for good in April of 1969.

This was the Kinks stab at a disco hit. Released on the 1979 album "Low Budget", the song reached number 41 in the US but failed to chart in the UK.

Answer: God's Children

This song is from the 1971 album "Percy". It failed to chart in both the US and UK.

Answer: Sunny Afternoon

"Sunny Afternoon" was originally released on the 1966 album "Face to Face."

Aided by MTV, this song reached number six in the US. It also restored the Kinks back to prominence in the UK reaching number 12.

Answer: Do It Again

The Kinks were notorious for their violent behaviour on stage. In particular between Dave Davies and Mick Avory. In one instance Avory smashed a cymbal over Davies' head knocking him out. Davies is taken to the hospital where he receives 16 stitches. Avory flees fearing he has killed Davies.

Ray Davies has released two solo albums. In 2006 he released "Other People's Lives and in 2007 he released "Working Man's Cafe".
