1. The Rolling Stones

Answer: Mick Jagger

Jagger is an original member of the band which was founded in 1962. The Stones have released 29 studio albums and 109 singles. They also made 13 live albums and produced 57 music videos.
2. The Police

Answer: Sting

Sting's name is actually Gordon Sumner. After five studio albums the Police broke up. Sting has had great success as a solo artist.
3. U2

Answer: Bono

Bono's real name is Paul David Hewson. He suffers from glaucoma and usually wears sunglasses to reduce the effects of camera flashes. U2's debut album "Boy", was released in 1980. "Songs of Innocence" was released in 2014.
4. Aerosmith

Answer: Steven Tyler

Aerosmith released 15 albums between 1973 and 2012. Steven Tyler was born Steven Victor Tallarico. In January of 2011, he began his role as a judge on "American Idol".
5. Led Zeppelin

Answer: Robert Plant

The band broke up after the death of drummer John Bonham. The survivors have done solo work and reunion tours, some with Bonham's son Jason playing drums.
6. The Who

Answer: Roger Daltrey

Roger is the lead singer, but occasionally guitarist Pete Townshend takes the lead vocal role. Pete is responsible for the majority of writing for the band. Roger has done some acting on the TV series "Highlander".
7. Journey

Answer: Steve Perry

Steve also is a drummer. He was recruited for Journey to share the lead vocal role with co-founder and keyboardist Gregg Rolie. Perry did such an impressive job that Rolie chose to leave the band instead of being relegated to a non-lead singing role.

When Perry was cast out of the band, a series of singers who sounded much like Steve filled in, but the band had very limited success without Perry.
8. Heart

Answer: Ann Wilson

Ann's sister Nancy plays guitar and sings backing vocals. Heart is among the most successful bands featuring female artists.
9. Queen

Answer: Freddie Mercury

Freddie was born Farrokh Bulsara in the Sultanate of Zanzibar, which is in the Indian Ocean northwest of Madagascar. Freddie died of AIDS complications in 1991. Queen reformed with Paul Rogers of Bad Company singing lead. More recently Adam Lambert of "American Idol" fame filled the lead singing role.
10. The Doors

Answer: Jim Morrison

Jim is in the "27 Club" among other musicians who died at age 27. Some of the most famous in the club are Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin and Brian Jones. More recent members are Kurt Cobain and Amy Winehouse.
