Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. "So gather you wits and hold on fast your mind must learn to roam"

Answer: Acid Queen

From The Who's 1969 classic album "Tommy". When "Tommy" was adapted to the big screen in 1975, Tina Turner played the role of the Acid Queen.
2. "Let the music be your master, may you heed the master's call"

Answer: Houses of the Holy

On Led Zeppelin's album "Physical Graffitti". Ironically, the song "Houses of the Holy" wasn't included on the album "Houses of the Holy".
3. "And now the sun's coming up, I'm riding with lady luck"

Answer: Old '55

This great tune can be found on The Eagles' album "On the Border". The song wasn't written by any member of The Eagles; it was written by singer/songwriter Tom Waits.
4. "He hears the silence howling, catches angels as they fall"

Answer: Locomotive Breath

From Jethro Tull's album "Aqualung". The group is named after the 17th century inventor of the seed drill.
5. "Living in hope of you, loving you now"

Answer: Day of the Dreamer

By Renaissance, on their album "A Song for All Seasons". While Renaissance was never a very popular band, their fans (such as myself) remain devoted and faithful to their music.
6. "Blood stains on my hands and I don't know where I've been"

Answer: Sweating Bullets

From Megadeth, on their album "Countdown to Extinction". Lead singer/guitarist Dave Mustaine was originally with another heavy metal supergroup, Metallica. When conflicts arose within Metallica, Dave went out and formed Megadeth.
7. "Changing my life with the wave of her hand"

Answer: Here, There, and Everywhere

From The Beatles, on their album "Revolver". Just had to include this song since it's my personal favorite Beatle song.
8. "From life alone to life as one, think not your journey's done"

Answer: Watcher of the Skies

From Genesis, on their album "Foxtrot". Phil Collins wasn't the original drummer for Genesis. He replaced the original drummer, John Mayhew, in 1970.
9. "They just tell you that you're on your own fill your head all full of lies"

Answer: Sabbath Bloody Sabbath

From Black Sabbath, on their album "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath". Before Ozzy Osbourne became a household name and reality TV star, he was the lead singer/songwriter for Black Sabbath.
10. "She keeps a funny face, it's locked and bagged it's just outside the door"

Answer: Lady Picture Show

From The Stone Temple Pilots, on their album "Tiny Music...Songs From the Vatican Gift Shop". In 1993 the band played a show in NY City looking like the rock band Kiss (make-up and all!)
